Anupama 9th January 2026 Written Update: Pakhi’s Lonely Confession, Baby Shower Turns Bitter, and Vasundhara Drops a Cruel Truth Bomb.

The episode starts with a lot happening. Anupama tries to talk to Pakhi. She wants to guide her gently, like she always does. But Pakhi doesn’t want to hear it. She says stop lecturing. She says she isn’t interested. You can hear the frustration in her voice. But there is also something else. Something like pain. She doesn’t want to show it.

Pakhi says love is back in her life. Finally. She doesn’t want anyone to say anything against it. Diwaker is not just a man to her. He is hope. He is someone who makes her feel seen. Someone who can take away the loneliness she has been carrying.

She talks about the reunion. Everyone came with their partners. Laughing. Taking pictures. Looking happy. She and Diwaker were alone. Watching everyone else made her feel invisible. Standing in the corner hurt. More than she thought it would.

Pakhi tells Anupama that loneliness has started consuming her. She reminds Anupama that even she is alone in life, hoping for empathy rather than advice. It is one of those rare moments where Pakhi sounds honest, not arrogant. Anupama listens patiently and responds with calm maturity. She tells Pakhi that if she truly wants to marry Diwaker, she can do so. But she advises her to take time, understand him better, and not rush into a decision driven by emotional emptiness. Pakhi, however, reacts coldly. She snaps back, saying she will decide what she wants to do. Her tone leaves Anupama stunned, realizing that Pakhi isn’t looking for guidance, only approval.

The scene moves to the Kothari house. Tension is in the air because of Prarthana’s baby shower. Vasundhara says she’s going to the farmhouse. Parag immediately tells her not to go. He can feel something is going to happen.

Vasundhara starts venting. She says she can’t stand the Shahs being around. She says they bring bad luck. She says she’s had enough. Khyati tries to calm her down, to stop her. But Vasundhara doesn’t listen. She stays stubborn. She thinks her feelings matter more than anyone else’s happiness.

That is when Prarthana steps in, her calm yet firm voice changing the atmosphere. She clearly states that the Shahs will not come to the farmhouse. She questions why her in-laws cannot let go of their hatred even for a single day. She asks why her own parents should be excluded from her baby shower. With surprising confidence, Prarthana announces that she wants to celebrate her baby shower at the Shah house. She reminds everyone that her in-laws left her at the Kothari house for her happiness, and for Khyati’s happiness, she has stayed there. Parag finally puts his foot down and declares that the baby shower will take place at the Kothari house, silencing Vasundhara, at least temporarily.

Vasundhara, unable to digest this, mocks Prarthana for praising the Shahs. She labels them experts at ruining happiness. Mahi joins in, insulting the Shahs and calling them clowns who do not know how to maintain relationships. This crosses a line. Rahi immediately confronts Mahi, pointing out that she never accepted the Shahs despite benefiting from their kindness multiple times. Prarthana steps in again, warning everyone not to misbehave with the Shahs. Vasundhara ominously tells Parag to wait and watch, confidently predicting that the Shahs will create drama.

Back at the Shah house, preparations are in full swing. Anupama and the family get ready to attend the baby shower. Kinjal gently advises Pari to remain calm and not react at the Kothari house. Paritosh, as expected, interferes and accuses Kinjal of giving wrong advice. Kinjal doesn’t hold back and warns Paritosh to stop ruining Pari’s married life. Paritosh tries to provoke Pari against Ansh, but Pari, showing growth, refuses to listen to him.

In a quieter moment, Ansh approaches Anupama with a thoughtful question. He asks whether a decision made after deep thinking can still be wrong. Anupama replies wisely that a decision is not wrong unless it hurts someone else. When she asks what decision he is talking about, Ansh asks her to wait for the right time. The mystery lingers. Meanwhile, Hasmuk advises Leela to remain calm at the Kothari house, while Leela worries about Vasundhara’s unpredictable behavior.

Elsewhere, Rahi is lost in thoughts about Diwaker, fear evident on her face. Prem notices her discomfort and consoles her. The emotional closeness between them grows naturally, hinting at something deeper. Their moment is interrupted when Meeta notices them together. Rahi and Prem are instantly alert and step away, trying to avoid unnecessary misunderstandings.

The Shahs finally arrive at the Kothari house and are welcomed formally. Parag expresses relief that they came, and Anupama thanks the Kotharis for the invitation. Prarthana warmly states that for her happiness, both families need to be together. Ansh takes blessings from Parag and Khyati respectfully, but Vasundhara pointedly refuses to bless him, making her resentment obvious.

The baby shower rituals begin, and the staff brings two chairs for the ceremony. Anupama suggests that Ansh and Prarthana should sit together for the ritual, reflecting a modern, inclusive outlook. Vasundhara mocks the idea, accusing Anupama of playing with traditions. Anupama calmly responds that times are changing and gives examples of how many rituals today involve couples performing ceremonies together.

Just when the moment feels hopeful, Vasundhara drops a shocking statement. She says that Gautam should sit with Prarthana instead because he is the real father of the baby, unlike Ansh, who is only her husband. The words land like a slap. The room freezes. Anupama is left stunned, her expression reflecting disbelief, anger, and deep hurt.
