Anupamaa 10th January 2026 Written Update : Anupamaa Gives Gautam a Sharp Reality Check, Leaving Him Insulted

Anupama

Today, Prarthana apologizes to Ansh. She says her family doesn’t know how to talk properly to in-laws and asks for forgiveness. Just then, Gautam comes in with flowers for Prarthana. However, Ansh intervenes, saying that Prarthana does not like the fragrance of lilies and throws them away, creating an uncomfortable moment.
In the chawl, Preet notices two unfamiliar men and grows suspicious. The men casually discuss demolishing all the houses, the very same day, and calculating how many bulldozers will be needed. Shocked, Preet confronts them and gathers the chawl residents. The men claim they were sent by a builder and even have demolition orders.
The residents argue that the chawl is not illegal and threaten the men to stay away. The men warn that they have a court order and that Hari Om Chawl has been allotted for demolition. Preet clarifies that this is not Hari Om Chawl. The men said they got confused due to the number of chawls. Relieved, Preet says she truly thought everything was over. The men joke that it’s she who managed things otherwise, Rajini would have killed them, and add that their job was only to inspect the bulldozer team, which would handle the rest.
At home, Vasundhara tells Prarthana that since it is her baby shower, she should start the aarti.

Prarthana asks Ansh to join her. They pray together, asking God for strength and support in their decision. Prerna comments that she wishes she had such a big family too, then joins the aarti with Prem’s help. Prem tells Rahi that if the puja plate had fallen, it would have been inauspicious, so helping was the right thing. Pari arrives with Raja for the aarti, which Vasundhara clearly dislikes.
Anupama and Vasundhara War of Words
Meera taunts Pari, saying she should stay away from Raja since she is about to become a big designer and Raja will have her design his wedding clothes. Anupama steps in and warns Meeta not to create drama when a happy function is going on. She says Pari and Raja can stay together, separate, marry, or divorce. It is their choice.

Vasundhara yells at Anupama. She says Anupama has no shame and brings disgrace.
Anupama says they have nothing to be ashamed of.

Vasundhara says their actions are shameful. She talks about Ishani’s arrest.

Pakhi comes. She tells Vasundhara not to talk about Ishani. She says she came for the function only. She will not take insults.
Parag tells Pakhi to speak politely. Pakhi says Vasundhara should learn to speak with respect.
Anupamaa intervenes, reminding everyone that Prarthana and Ansh’s function is ongoing and unnecessary fights should stop. She pleads with Vasundhara to let go of past mistakes and focus on blessing the child. Parag suggests starting the rituals, while Vasundhara complains privately that Anupamaa has ruined an important function. Parag tells her firmly to stay calm.
Vasundhara declares that the child’s father must sit for the ritual and insists that Gautam should sit beside Prarthana, claiming that while Ansh is Prarthana’s husband, Gautam is the baby’s father. She calls Gautam to sit.
Gautam is about to sit. Anupamaa kicks the chair, and he falls.

Vasundhara asks why she did that.

Anupamaa throws water on Gautam’s face. She tells him to stop dreaming with open eyes. She says she had only two choices: let Ansh and Prarthana’s ritual be ruined, or do what she did.
Anupamaa firmly asks Gautam whether he will sit quietly or leave. She warns him to stay in his place and stay away from Prarthana. Gautam angrily mutters that he will not let this go, saying that even if Ansh sits in the puja, the child will ultimately be his. He threatens that if the child is not given to him willingly, he will snatch it.
Parag asks Vasundhara why she keeps provoking Anupama. Vasundhara accuses Anupama of manipulating everything, insulting the family for Ansh supporting Pakhi’s drama and encouraging Raja and Pari. She claims Anupama has come from Mumbai, not for rituals but to turn Prarthana against them so she can take her to Shah House after the baby is born. She insists the child belongs to their family and will stay there.
Rahi begins the ritual. Ansh applies colour to everyone, calling it a special touch. Anupamaa ties a sacred thread on Prarthana, which Vasundhara mocks, saying she hasn’t even been given a gold bangle. Anupamaa replies that some threads are more precious than gold. She adds that while gold is important, simplicity is far more valuable. Parag tells Vasundhara Anupamaa that even if she doesn’t have gold or silver, she has priceless pearls of wisdom.
Anupamaa ties the sacred thread to both Ansh and Prarthana and speaks to Prarthana about the importance of motherhood. She explains that a mother is the most important part of a child’s life and narrates the story of Krishna and Yashoda. She says motherhood is the greatest joy, blessing, responsibility, honour, and happiness. Everyone may retire from jobs one day, but a mother’s duty never ends.
Precap: Gautam brings a gift for Prarthana and Ansh, claiming it is the first gift. It turns out to be a document stating that Prarthana may live wherever she wants after childbirth, but the baby will stay in this house and carry Gautam’s name. Everyone is shocked. Anupamaa challenges Vasundhara and declares she will take Prarthana and Ansh to Shah House, daring anyone to stop her. Parag coldly announces that anyone who sides with Anupamaa will have no relationship with the Kothari family.
