At the beginning of the episode, Usha gets angry at Suresh and asks him when he’ll understand that his future is with Tulika and Varun. She says to Suresh that he cannot be riding two boats at the same time, he needs to choose. Suresh tells her that today he is in this situation because of her as she was the one who was desperate to have a grandson. He says he was happy with Nima and her children, Usha was the one who forced him to get married again. Usha says that she only wants what is best for him and he needs to pick sides he cannot keep bouncing from here to there. Usha says Tulika is the one for him as Nima doesn’t want him in her life and she threw everything he bought for her.
Suresh stands in front of the window facing Nima’s house and says that Usha is right he needs to pick sides. Tulika calls him but he doesn’t pick her call. He says to himself the only side he can see right now is, and looks towards Nima’s house.
Siya stands in front of the window while Nima puts the other two daughters to sleep. Nima walks up to her and sees her crying, she tells her that she will buy her the toys she wants. Siya says why can’t they keep what Suresh brings them, as everyone’s fathers bring them toys. Nima tells her she is too young to understand the situation but she needs to understand that they can’t take things from Suresh.
The next day, because of heavy rainfall Nima’s roof starts leaking and the water fills in the house. Suresh sees Nima through his window throwing water outside of her house. He lies to Usha that he is going to the shooting.
Nima tries to fill the crack in the ceiling with plastic and falls down off the stool. Suresh catches her in his arms, both of them get lost in each other’s eyes. The plastic from the roof falls and they get wet. Nima asks him to put her down, Suresh hugs his daughters. Nima asks her daughter to go under the shade, she tells Suresh to leave as well. But he insists on fixing the roof.
After he fixes the roof he says to Nima that once the rain stops pouring he’ll get it permanently fixed. Nima says she’ll get it done by herself as she has learned to walk alone. Suresh tells her that he is guilty of what happened to her but he wants to take care of her and his kids. When Nima refuses to listen to him he tells her that he’ll stand in the rain until she doesn’t forgive him.
Suresh keeps standing in the rain while Nima could not focus on work. At night she goes to close the window and sees him kneeling in the rain. Siya requests to bring him inside. Nima goes and brings him inside under an umbrella. Usha sees him go inside to Nima’s house. She calls Tulika and asks her to return as Suresh is getting close to Nima. She tells her not to do anything as she wants to see to what extent Suresh can go in her absence.
