Vasudha 4th January 2026 Written Update: Dev’s Ultimatum, When Love Is Put on Trial and Property Wins the Day
The atmosphere inside the Chauhan house turns tense as Chandrika finally looks straight at Sarika and asks her to speak clearly about what she wants. Sarika does not hesitate anymore. She bluntly demands her share in the property. The room falls silent, but Sarika continues without fear. She reminds Chandrika that she is also the daughter-in-law of the house and has every right to ask, and Chandrika will have to give it.
Sarika goes a step further, claiming that Chandrika did not build this empire alone. She says her husband has also served the family for years, contributing silently. According to her, the Chauhan empire should be divided into two equal parts — one belonging to Chandrika and the other to her. She declares that whatever Chandrika wishes to distribute to her sons can come from Chandrika’s share, but Sarika will not give even a single penny from what she claims as hers.
Sarika’s confidence shocks everyone. Chandrika compliments the lawyer present and casually asks for his visiting card, hinting at future plans. Chandrika’s expression hardens. She immediately orders that the Bar Association be contacted and a formal complaint be registered against the lawyer for provoking the women of the house and attempting to create a rift within the family. She demands that his license be cancelled with immediate effect.
The lawyer breaks down.
His voice shakes as he begs Chandrika to stop. He tells her one complaint is enough to finish him. Years of work, his name, his career—everything would be gone. He keeps repeating it, almost choking on the words.
Chandrika doesn’t react.
She looks at him and tells him, very clearly, that if he wants to stay out of trouble, he should leave the house right now. No arguments. No second chances. And he should never come back.
Fear takes over him completely. He mutters an apology, barely able to meet her eyes, and rushes out. He doesn’t turn around even once.
Chandrika then turns back to Sarika and asks if demanding a share is truly her final decision. Dev steps in and questions Vasudha directly. He asks why she sent legal notices secretly instead of speaking face to face. He insists that if she wants to ask for something, she should say it openly in front of his mother, Devi Hukum.
Sarika panics internally. She realizes she has gone too far and imagines the disaster if her husband Mayur learns about the divorce threat. Fear takes over her bravado. She quickly changes her tone, laughs nervously, and claims that she was only joking. She even pretends to mock herself, saying she was just teasing everyone. Savitri brings a chair, but Sarika hurriedly stops her, continuing the farce of humor.
Chandrika is not amused. She orders Sarika to stop the drama and makes it clear that as long as she is alive, not a single brick of the Chauhan house will be divided. Sarika immediately folds her hands and begs Chandrika not to tell Mayur anything. She even threatens to slap herself repeatedly if Chandrika does not swear to keep quiet. Chandrika dismisses her theatrics coldly. Dev brings Vasudha there.
The focus then shifts as Chandrika turns to Dev. She asks him to speak openly now. Whatever he wants, whatever he needs, he should say it clearly. Dev encourages Vasudha to voice what is in her heart, reminding her that she must speak directly to his mother.
Sarika tries once again to provoke Vasudha, calling her greedy and reminding everyone that she once worked as a maid in the same house. She accuses Vasudha of trapping Dev to grab the Chauhan wealth. Sarika even threatens to start hitting her, but Dev steps forward sharply.
Dev warns Sarika not to cross her limits. He makes it clear that Vasudha is no longer a servant but Vasudha Chauhan — his wife and the daughter-in-law of the Chauhan family. He states firmly that anyone who raises a hand against her will face consequences. Dev declares that he is no longer the old Dev who tolerated Sarika’s manipulations in silence.
Chandrika reminds everyone that this house is not a stage for cheap drama. She demands clarity. Either speak openly or leave. The room grows heavy as all eyes turn toward him. Dev asks Vasudha to ask Chandrika. Vasudha stays silent.
Dev finally speaks up. He tells Chandrika that he has never asked her for anything in his life. She fulfilled every wish of his without him needing to ask. But today, he is asking for something she never imagined. He says there is no option left anymore. He wants his share in the property.
Gasps echo in the room. Sarika immediately blames Vasudha, accusing her of putting these words into Dev’s mouth. Dev shuts her down firmly, telling her to stay silent or he will lose control. He then explains calmly that he is the elder son of the Chauhan family and has a rightful claim to the property. He says he expects justice from Chandrika — the same justice she is known for.
Prabhat and Avinash try to intervene, reminding Dev that everything belongs to Chandrika and that dividing it will be emotionally painful. Chandrika listens without interrupting. Dev explains his helplessness. He admits that he feels like a failed husband, living in his wife’s maternal home, unable to give her even a single day of comfort or happiness. He says he wants to keep his wife happy just like his parents kept each other happy.
Chandrika’s disappointment is evident. She accuses Vasudha of revealing her true intentions. She believes Vasudha is no longer trying to leave Dev but is now using him to secure property. She warns that if Dev continues on this path, everything will shatter.
Chandrika finally makes her decision. She tells Divya to bring the red file from the cupboard. With trembling hands, she opens it and reveals that the property was always divided into three parts — for Mayur Singh Chauhan, Devansh Singh Chauhan, and Avinash Singh Chauhan.
She hands Dev his share.
Dev is stunned. He tries to refuse, but Chandrika insists. The moment breaks her heart. She realizes her son has chosen property over family. She mourns the loss of the son she believed to be her Ram, now seeing him as someone who has broken the family’s honor.
Chandrika declares that Vasudha has won. She says that by choosing her, Dev has sealed his own destruction. She announces that Vasudha will receive her rightful share, but from this moment onward, she will have no claim on the Chauhan family.
Dev walks silently to the door and places the property papers at the doorstep. Turning to Vasudha, he asks her the final question — does she want money or her husband? He tells her she cannot have both.
Vasudha looks at him, her eyes filled with pain she refuses to show. She says she has already chosen him as her husband, but she will not give up her rightful share. She declares that she wants an affluent life and refuses to sacrifice the property. She tells Dev that the Chauhan empire is not only Chandrika’s effort but his as well.
She asks him not to worry. They will take their share and start a new life. She urges him to leave this drama behind and walk away with her.
Dev stands shattered, unaware that Vasudha is deliberately destroying their bond to force him back to his family.
The episode ends with Dev realizing that the woman he loved has chosen wealth over love, while Vasudha silently sacrifices everything, becoming the villain in his story so he can return to Chandrika forever.
