Star Plus’s longest and most popular running show Yeh Rishta Kya Khelata Hai has managed to keep the viewers hooked to the story over the years and currently entertaining the viewers with Kartik and Sirat’s storyline.
In last week’s episode we saw, Upon reaching the house outside, Sirat sees Arohi’s stroller fallen down. Everybody comes outside hearing her scream. She sees the baby is fine and apologies to everyone as she got scared. Surekha says it requires another type of bravery to leave the kids and go to work outside. She tells her that if she didn’t trust them why did she leaves the kids. Sirat says to her that she is not doubting them, she is not able to herself leave the kids. Suvarna motivates her and tells her that she is her mother and can take care of her grandkids. Sirat in her room calls and apologies to her coach for leaving early and then speaks to herself that it can’t continue like this.
Sirat after dinner goes to Kairav’s room and promises him that she’ll come to her school during prize distribution. Sirat in her meeting with the federation is told that they have selected a coach for her and shows her a picture of Mukesh Rathore. Kairav gets very upset and asks her why she promised him and runs to his room. Surekha taunts her for being a step-mother and being irresponsible and she tells her that she is going to cause more dishearten to him. She says that right now Kairav is missing his real mother as his step-mother has let him down. Sirat asks her to stop drawing the comparison. Kartik says to Surekha that she should stop taunting Sirat as it was his choice to not marry Riya and she should stop punishing Sirat for that.
Sirat tries to make kairva happy as he is upset with her. She plays the video of Kairav receiving the award in the hall and upon hearing the video Kairav comes down from his room and is happy to see the whole family enjoying the movement together and cheering for him. Kartik and Sirat say next time they would make sure to fulfill their promise. Sirat tells Kartik that the federation has appointed Mukesh as her coach even after her request to change him. She asks him what she should do, Kartik asks for time to think of something. Mukesh says to Sirat that he won’t let her become Asian champion.
They reach a training centre setup by Kartik and says she doesn’t need to worry as he has spoken to her coach who has said that he can train her in the evening after she finishes her training with Mukesh. Kartik says to her that she needs to focus on the training as she needs to win the Asian championship, he says the kids are going to accompany her and he as well is going to accompany her for the training. The coach says to her she needs to be careful as if the federation comes to know then she would be disqualified. At practice a pole is falling on Arohi but Akshu pushes her stroller and saves her. Mukesh sees Arvind coming out after her practice and sees the setup and thinks of getting a solid proof against her then going to the federation to get her disqualified.
During Sirat’s practice at the secret location Mukesh records Sirat practicing and then says to her that she can forget her dream of Asian championship, he says that he thought of declaring her unfit and ruling her out of the selection. Sirat says she will also tell the federation that he doesn’t let her practice and everyone in the federation would back her but Kartik arrives from behind and throws his phone and says he has recorded him saying how he planned to rule out Sirat from the competition. Mukesh pushes him and Kartik gets hurt. At the hospital the doctor says that he has internal injury and they might need to do an operation, leaving Manish shocked. Sirat calls Kartik, he says to Manish that they need to hide his report from her until the match. He speaks to her and pretends that he is fine and asks her to focus as her name is already announced.
The doctor informs everyone to wait outside while they are taking him in for the surgery. Mukesh gets a call from the hospital for his son, he hears Sirat’s family talking about not letting Sirat know about Kartik’s surgery. He calls Sirat’s phone and tells Sirat’s coach about Kartik’s operation but her coach doesn’t share the information with Sirat thinking that winning the championship is what Kartik also wants. Kartik gives a letter to the doctor saying to give to his wife if something happens to him. The doctor says that there has been blood loss in Kartik’s operation and the hospital doesn’t have his blood group. Mukesh calls Sirat and she overhears the doctor’s conversation with the family during the match and gets distracted and worries about Kartik.
