Star Plus’s longest and most popular running show Yeh Rishta Kya Khelata Hai has managed to keep the viewers hooked to the story over the years and currently entertaining the viewers with Akshu, Abhimanyu and Arohi’s love triangle storyline.
In last week’s episodes, Akshu sits beside Arohi’s bed and says to herself that she wants her back as she likes being angry and scolding not being silent on the bed. Abhimanyu enters the ward and looks Arohi’s file and tells Akshu that she will be fine and if she needs anything he’s around. Akshu thanks Abhimanyu. Abhimanyu says to her she doesn’t need to thank him as he passionately does his duty and love. Arohi sees them together. Abhimanyu notices her awake and asks her how she is, he says today’s diwali and she should forget what happened in the past and look ahead.
Abhimanyu’s name is announced and he says to Akshu he has to go but they need to talk. Akshu says the same place, Abhimanyu says to her to not be late as he will be waiting for her. Harshwardhan says to Abhimanyu to once bring Akshu to their house and make her say that she loves him then he’ll get them married. Abhimanyu says he doesn’t need to prove anything but he’ll bring her. Abhimanyu says to Harshwardhan that he brought Akshu home. He says to Akshu that everyone knows that he loves her and he knows that she loves him. He says he knows that she kept quiet that day because of family honour or because of her sister, but today she doesn’t need to be scared and tell the truth.
Abhimanyu asks her to confess her feelings. Akshu says to herself that she loves Abhimanyu but she has to lie. Akshu in front of the family says to Abhimanyu that she doesn’t love him. Abhimanyu says she is lying and asks her to say what she has in her heart. Akshu says why can’t he believe that she doesn’t love him. Abhimanyu says Arohi had a misunderstanding, Akshu says he had the same misunderstanding. Abhimanyu asks her to look him in the eye and say the same thing, Akshu does and Abhimanyu asks Niel to drop her home but she says she’ll see herself out. Akshu leaves the Birla house and goes to a park where she cries while leaving. Abhimanyu doesn’t say anything and climbs the stairs to his room and falls down.
Both Akshu and Abhimanyu break down and then stand up and console themselves. Kairav sees some photos on camera of Abhimanyu and Akshu from the trip and realises that Akshu also loves Abhimanyu and Abhimanyu was telling the truth. He comes down and says to Akshu that today on Bhai Dooj normally brother’s give something but today he wants to ask her to give him something. He asks her to leave the house and Akshu says she’ll leave. Kairav gets emotional and hugs her. Kairav and Vansh sit on the couch while Arohi and Akshu do their Arti and receive gifts in return from them. Akshu then tells everyone that she has some good news that her application in Pune’s college for music therapy has been accepted and she has to leave today itself for that. Akshu says she really wants to go and asks Manish’s permission.
In the traffic Akshu car is stuck, Abhimanyu parks his bike beside her and notices her inside and remembers all of their moments together. Akshu sees him and gets emotional and is about to say something to him, her car drives past him. A guy parked beside Abhimanyu’s bike misbehaves with his girlfriend. Abhimanyu gets down from his bike and starts slapping him. The police intervenes and asks what happened there. When the police are about to take him, Kairav stops them and says he knows Abhimanyu and talks to the police. Kairav says to Abhimanyu that he should not take his anger out on somebody else. Abhimanyu tells Kairav that Akshu told in front of him and his family that she doesn’t love him. Kairav is shocked and says that’s why she got ready to leave everything and go.
Niel calls Akshu and says that he wants to meet her, Akshu tells him that she is at the bus station as she is leaving. He says if she misses one bus she’ll find thousands such buses, but if Abhimanyu’s life gets messed up in this situation it won’t come back. Manjuri requests her to not refuse to help them. Akshu returns home and says she forgot what Kartik and Sirat taught her that she needs to fight for herself and not leave her family. Akshu on video call talks to Niel and Manjuri and plans about Abhimanyu’s birthday. Niel suggests celebrating the birthday in the new wing of the hospital as no one would find out.
