Scene 1: Anuj’s Despair and Anupama’s Determination
Anuj asks Anupama to question the fathers present about how they would feel if their child said a final goodbye. He expresses his anguish, saying he died the moment his daughter, Aadhya, separated from him. He laments that he chose love over his daughter and accuses Anupama of not helping him understand the situation. Anuj blames himself and Anupama for Aadhya’s “murder” and wishes they had never adopted her, believing she would have been better off in the orphanage. He recalls Aadhya’s warning to stay away from Anupama, which he ignored, leading to their daughter’s death. Anupama tearfully insists that Aadhya is alive, but Anuj is inconsolable, lying on the ground in grief. Vanraj tries to comfort Anuj, sharing his own experience of loss, while Anupama holds onto the hope that Aadhya can be found.
Scene 2: Family Accusations and Anupama’s Resolve
Anuj argues that Aadhya is dead and won’t return. Vanraj and the family harshly criticize Anupama, blaming her for Anuj’s condition and the family’s suffering. Toshu and Pakhi express their hatred for Anupama, claiming she ruins everything she touches. Vanraj tells Anupama to change her name, accusing her of failing in all relationships. Despite their accusations, Anupama refuses to justify herself and tries to take Anuj away. Anuj, however, remains in despair, feeling cursed and alone. Kinjal and Titu attempt to support Anupama, but Vanraj insists they leave her. Anupama is left crying as Indra and Nandita watch sympathetically.
Scene 3: Ankush and Barkha’s Deceit
Ankush and Barkha discuss Anupama’s arrival, fearing she might find Anuj. They recall how they left Anuj in front of an ashram and manipulated his condition for their gain. Flashbacks reveal their plot to deteriorate Anuj’s mental health by altering his medications. Ankush tricked Anuj into signing business documents, taking control of his empire. Barkha and Ankush feel guilty for their actions but are more worried about Anupama’s potential interference. They reflect on their deceit and the damage they’ve caused to Anuj’s life and business.
Scene 4: Meenu’s Encounter and Vanraj’s Anger
Meenu exits the hospital and is stopped by seniors who try to impose their authority on her. Sagar, whose father is the head of the department, intervenes, causing the seniors to back off. Sagar offers Meenu a ride, and she is grateful for his help. Meanwhile, at the Shah house, the family expresses their sympathy for Anuj but insists he cannot stay in their locality due to the risks he poses. Vanraj decides to take action against Anupama’s decision to keep Anuj with them. He sees Meenu getting out of Sagar’s auto and becomes angry. Bala reassures Anupama, but she remains haunted by Anuj’s words.
