Starts with Ansh breaking down emotionally. Pari, Raja, and Ishani try their best to console him. Ansh regrets that he could not protect Prarthana from the incident and wonders how he will face her now. Pari tells him that Prarthana knows how deeply he loves her. Ishani assures him that Prarthana will not blame him. Pari adds that everyone knows Ansh will become the world’s best father. Raja also steps in to comfort him. Anupamaa watches all this silently and prays to God that everything becomes fine.
Prem tells Rahi that what Vasundhara and Parag did was not right. Rahi agrees but says they should not have spoken that way though their anger was not entirely wrong. Rahi feels Anupamaa should have allowed Prarthana to stay at the Kothari house. Sometimes she gets exhausted because of Anupamaa’s stubbornness.
Prem reminds Rahi that Parag in anger even throws shoes on his own son-in-law and asks if she will defend that too. Rahi clarifies that she is not defending anyone. She asks Prem to think practically Ansh is still a kid Leela and Hasmukh are old and Kinjal remains busy with household responsibilities. There is no one at home to take full care of Prarthana.
Prem argues that the family is behaving as if Prarthana is the first woman in the world to get pregnant. Rahi explains that all she means is that Prarthana needs someone by her side. Prem reminds her that Anupamaa has promised to take responsibility. Rahi doubts Anupamaa saying that she makes promises but often breaks them within two days. Prem insists that Anupamaa must have thought carefully before giving her word.
Rahi fears that if anything goes wrong in the future everyone will wash their hands of the matter and blame Anupamaa. She feels Anupamaa keeps taking unnecessary burdens on herself. Prem calls it responsibility but Rahi replies that people should carry their own responsibilities not dump them on others. She adds that Anupamaa thinks with her heart instead of her mind gets hurt and then people criticize her.
Rahi receives a message from Anupamaa saying she knows Rahi is angry but she will handle the responsibility properly and will not give Rahi’s in-laws any chance to complain. Prem asks Rahi to try and understand Anupamaa and not repeat her mistakes.
At the Kothari house Parag is furious. Gautam says he had warned everyone but no one listened especially Parag who even raised his hand at him. Gautam angrily says Now see what has happened. Vasundhara supports Gautam saying they all made a mistake by being emotional about Prarthana and taking decisions in her favor.
Gautam says there is no point regretting now. After everything Prarthana still wanted to stay with the Shahs. He clearly states that he will not sit quietly anymore because it is a matter of his child. He hands Vasundhara some legal papers and tells her to get Prarthana’s signature on them. Mahi supports Gautam saying he has full rights to decide for his child and they cannot take any risks after what happened.
Parag throws the papers away and says Prarthana’s wellness is not only Gautam’s concern it matters to him too. He strictly instructs everyone to stay away from Prarthana not contact her, not message her and not give her any stress. Her health is the only priority.
Just then Parag gets a call from Rajini. He asks her to give at least some good news. Rajini informs him that all legal formalities are complete and demolition work will start soon. Parag feels relieved and says he will reach there early the next morning. Rajini tells him to be cautious till then.
The next morning Anupamaa offers bhog to God in everyone’s name. She keeps rice aside as prasad for Preet and Purvi but it slips from her hands and falls. Anupamaa is shocked. At the same moment she receives a call from Jassi. Hoping everything is fine Anupamaa answers the call.
Jassi tells her that the builders have started demolition work. Anupamaa refuses to believe it and says there must be some misunderstanding. Jassi insists it is true. Anupamaa says she never wanted redevelopment which is why she signed papers earlier. She asks how the builder came there.
Anupamaa says she wants to talk to the builder. Anupamaa speaks to him angrily and asks how he can demolish the chawl. The builder replies that a notice was sent but they ignored it. He says he followed proper procedure and even has a court order along with an NOC signed by Anupamaa on behalf of the chawl residents. He shows her the NOC papers.
Anupamaa is completely shocked on seeing her signature. She recalls how Rajini emotionally blackmailed her into signing the papers. Jassi questions how Anupamaa’s signature ended up on the NOC. The chawl residents refuse to believe it and say the papers must be fake. Anupamaa thinks the signature is hers but she had signed against redevelopment not for it.
The builder announces that bulldozers will arrive soon and the chawl will be demolished. Jassi says this cannot happen because Rajini had promised to protect the chawl. Jassi says Rajini’s phone is switched off. The chawl people still hope that Anupamaa will save them.
Anupamaa feels dizzy and overwhelmed by everything happening. She cannot bear the noise and sits on the floor. Meanwhile Rajini thinks her good time has begun and plans her day confidently.
Leela and Hasmukh see Anupamaa’s condition and panic. Everyone gathers around her. Anupamaa tells them about the chawl and says she must go to Mumbai immediately. Leela refuses reminding her of Parag and Prarthana. She says if anything happens to Prarthana, the Kotharis will not spare Anupamaa.
Anupamaa insists the chawl residents are her family and need her. Pakhi says Anupamaa going will not stop the bulldozers. Toshu adds that the chawl people will not spare Anupama Kinjal supports Anupamaa and says Prarthana can be taken care of carefully only them but the chawl people are also Anupamaa’s family.
Leela argues that the Shahs are her real family. Ansh says no one can take care of Prarthana like Anupamaa does. Kinjal taunts Ansh saying if he cannot manage his pregnant wife how will he manage his child later.The Shah family continues arguing. Time keeps slipping away.
The chawl residents declare they will not leave their homes and are ready to die but not let the chawl break. They believe only Anupamaa can save them and remind her of her promise.
Anupamaa finally screams that she will go making it clear that she cannot stay back anymore. She tells Leela that she will still keep Parag’s promise and return soon because there are many people at home to take care of Prarthana but the chawl residents are becoming homeless and need her immediately. She insists that she never knowingly signed any NOC and must go there to find out how her signature appeared on those papers. Anupamaa stands determined torn between responsibilities but ready to face the truth and stop the demolition at any cost.
Precap : Anupamaa stops the bulldozer from demolishing the chawl. Rajini and Parag arrive together leaving Anupamaa shocked.
