At the beginning of the episode, Rishi feels guilty seeing Lakshmi sleeping on the couch. He tells her to take an extra quilt from the cupboard if she is cold. Rishi thinks what is happening to him. He sends a message to Malishka. His hand makes the glass of water on the side table fall. He gets up to see Lakshmi missing at 4 am. He goes to check on her and she is in the kitchen making laddus for puja. Lakshmi tells him that she has been making PRASAD since 2 am. Lakshmi tries to get something from a top-shelf. Rishi helps her. Lakshmi’s food slips and Rishi supports her. Rishi goes from there, embarrassed. He thinks about what is happening to him.
Malishka wishes Happy Ganesh Chaturthi to everyone. Pandit ji asks Lakshmi to bring MODAK for puja. Malishka says she will get them. Dadi tells Lakshmi to get her medicine from her room. Lakshmi sees Ahana crying in her room and asks what is wrong. Ahana says her dress is too loose and she has nothing new to wear for puja. Lakshmi says it is a small thing and she can fix it in 2 minutes. Lakshmi asks to get a stitching kit. Lakshmi fixes the fitting. Ahana is very happy. Lakshmi gives Dadi her medicine and blesses Lakshmi. Karishma and Neelam are shocked. Lakshmi asks where is Malishka.
Lakshmi’s family comes for the puja. Soniya asks Karishma why these people are invited to every function. She comments on their clothes. Rishi and Ayush also welcome them. Rishi tells them to rest till the puja starts. Lakshmi goes to check on Ahana. Karishma says to Neelam that Malishka must do this puja as she is the real daughter in law. She tells Neelam to handle Virendra. Dadi hears this and scolds Karishma. Karishma says this is Bappa’s wish after all.
Lakshmi and Rishi collide. Lakshmi tells Rishi that his hair got messy and fixes them. Malishka sees this and grabs Lakshmi’s hand. Lakshmi asks what happened. Malishka hands her the MODAKS. Lakshmi takes them to pandit ji. Malishka asks Rishi to not let Lakshmi even touch him. Rishi says never.
Puja starts. Malishka does AARTI. Bani joins her instead of Rishi. Malishka and Rishi are disappointed. Neha does AARTI with Ayush. Finally Lakshmi does AARTI. Rishi also joins her. Dadi says to Karishma that all this is Bappa’s wish and what can they do in this. She says puja is being done by the real daughter-in-law. Karishma asks if she wants Rishi to accept Lakshmi. Dadi says whatever is God’s will is going to happen. Virendra thanks God for accepting his wish. He thinks Malishka is in Rishi’s heart, but Lakshmi is in his fate. Lakshmi thanks Ganapati ji for giving her this family and asks for giving her strength to do everything for this family. She wishes that all her happiness and love should go to Rishi. Rishi prays that he is here because of Lakshmi and says he will feel very sad if she is hurt because of him. She wishes that Lakshmi should not fall in love with him. Lakshmi slips and his prayer is disturbed.
