In the beginning of the episode, Shalu goes towards Ayush but he turns away from her. She stops him from leaving and asks him why isn’t he stopping this, he says what is he not stopping. She says the engagement, he says why would he stop the engagement as his brother is happy. Shalu says to him that one of the people who believed in Lakshmi and Rishi’s love was he, and his prayers answered and Lakshmi realised the love. He says she is wrong, if Lakshmi would have realised love she wouldn’t have given divorce. Shalu tries to explain but Ayush says to her that he has to join in the party and leaves.
Ayush goes in the centre of the party and says thank you to everyone for making it to the party at such short notice, he says they didn’t have the time to prepare but still they are Punjabis and they can dance any time. He asks Rishi and Malishka to do a couple dance and the others will follow. Rishi and Malishka dance and Lakshmi dances with someone else. When the pairs change and Lakshmi and Rishi come together, he asks her how she’s feeling. She says the way she is supposed to be, she asks him if he was going to break her heart why did he be so nice to her. She gets emotional and goes away.
Virendra sees Lakshmi crying and coming away from the dance floor, he stops her and asks her to go back there and see everything from her own eyes as she is responsible for this. He says to her that if she had told him before the problem this all could be avoided, he says to her that now she can go ahead and use his words against him in the court and receive more alimony. Virendra leaves, and Lakshmi thinks to herself that Virendra’s anger is justified as he loves her and is hurt by her actions.
Ranno sees Rishi drinking and apologizes to him that because of Lakshmi he has started drinking as well, she then asks him to give Neha a job at reception. He asks Ranno to send Neha’s CV to his email, and says to her that he isn’t drinking because of Lakshmi instead he stopped drinking because of her. Lakshmi comes from behind and takes the glass from his hand and tells the waiters that no more drinks to be served to Rishi. Ranno says to herself that it seems like they are getting closer.
Balwinder’s friend calls him and says that Rishi and Lakshmi are getting engaged, he says to his friend that he’s coming in the get up of a waiter and today he’ll kill Rishi. Panditji arrives and asks Rishi to give Malishka the ring, Ranno says to Lakshmi that no matter what problems they have between them, she should answer back to Malishka. Malishka sees the ring and on Rishi’s request acts as she has seen it for the first time. The ring falls in front of Lakshmi, and Shalu, Bani and Ranno refuse to pick it up. Rishi asks Lakshmi to give the ring, she asks him why he is doing this.
