Misunderstandings and Misgivings
Lavanya tells her son Chirag that among her three children, he understands her best; she can’t comprehend why he doesn’t understand her concerns. Chirag retorts, asking why she doesn’t understand him. Lavanya expresses her worry that people have started forming negative opinions about him. Omkar, trying to mediate, suggests they ignore people’s opinions and simply understand why Chirag doesn’t want to marry. Chirag, feeling pressured, declares he’s not ready for marriage. Frustrated with Lavanya’s preoccupation with societal opinions, he announces he won’t attend Prithvi’s tilak ceremony and storms off despite his parents’ attempts to stop him.
In another household, Manorama delights in seeing expensive gifts. Shobha informs her that Jahnvi’s mother-in-law-to-be sent them. Manorama comments on Jahnvi’s luck in marrying into a wealthy family. However, Jahnvi, unhappy with her impending marriage to Prithvi, wishes to marry Chirag instead. She expresses her reluctance to go through with the tilak ceremony. Manorama sternly warns Jahnvi to change her attitude or risk losing the alliance and its luxuries. Manorama then picks up a sari belonging to Deepika, which Shobha warns her not to touch, suggesting it was given with ill intentions. Deepika overhears and, hurt by the continued character assassination, breaks down. Chirag, arriving to deliver tilak invitations, witnesses this and feels deeply for Deepika.
As Chirag enters, Shobha notices him and welcomes him inside. Deepika, still crying, leaves the room. Mistaking Chirag for Prithvi, Manorama encourages Jahnvi to befriend him. Jahnvi brightens at the idea, but Shobha corrects the misunderstanding, introducing Chirag as Prithvi’s elder brother. Embarrassed, Manorama apologizes and invites him to stay for coffee. Recalling a previous bitter experience, Chirag declines and leaves, saddened by the sight of Deepika’s sari on the floor and her tears.
Tilak Ceremony Preparations
The next day, the Mittal family prepares for the tilak ceremony. Prithvi is eager to leave, and Payal teases him. Roshni seeks Lavanya’s approval of her appearance, but Lavanya panics. Saloni reassures Roshni, calling her the prettiest, and takes her away. Payal and Chirag notice Lavanya’s unsettling behavior. Omkar announces it’s time to go, but Lavanya asks them to leave ahead, planning to join them later. Payal confides in Chirag about Lavanya’s rudeness towards Roshni, remarking she’s only present for Prithvi’s wedding.
Meanwhile, at the Agarwal household, Lavanya calls Shobha, instructing her to bring only Jahnvi and not the ‘inauspicious’ maid Deepika. Shobha agrees, assuring Deepika she will send the car back for her after reaching the venue. Deepika, trusting Shobha, agrees to wait. Shobha, however, maliciously locks the door, leaving Deepika stranded outside.
At the ceremony, Prithvi eagerly anticipates Jahnvi’s arrival, praising Chirag’s arrangements and taking a selfie with him. Yashwant arrives first, and Chirag introduces him to the family. Lavanya, typically aloof, ignores Yashwant while the rest of the family interacts warmly. Deepika, still waiting for the car, is unaware of Shobha’s deceit. Jahnvi, seeking Chirag’s attention, tries to engage him. Chirag, noticing Jahnvi’s attempts, reflects on Deepika’s influence and finds himself missing her presence.
