Jhanak 10th January 2026 Written Update: Jhanak Under Fire, Aniruddh in the Frame, and Poison That Refuses to Stay Silent

The 10th January episode of Jhanak turns the heat up sharply, shifting the story from whispers and suspicion to open interrogation. What began as a shocking incident now officially becomes a criminal investigation, and Jhanak finds herself standing alone in the eye of the storm. Every dialogue today feels like a loaded question, every silence like a verdict waiting to be delivered.

The episode starts with a police inspector coming to Chatterjee’s house. He says he has come for Jhanak. The atmosphere turns tense. Rishi steps in and says the family will cooperate. The inspector says it is only for investigation, not arrest, but the tension remains. The word investigation hangs heavy in the air.

Dadabhai explains that the marriage registration of Dritimaan and Sanjhbati took place that day, which is why everyone in the family was present. The inspector listens carefully and states that he wants to talk to Jhanak directly. Putul is asked to bring her, while the inspector demands a detailed explanation of what exactly happened on the day Aditi collapsed.

Indumati begins narrating the sequence of events. Tanushri quickly adds her own version, emphasizing one crucial point. She says Jhanak offered juice to Aditi, and Aditi fainted immediately after drinking it. Rishi informs the inspector that he had already submitted the juice sample for testing. This is where the investigation takes a serious turn. The inspector reveals that the lab report is back, and poison was found only in that particular glass of juice. The implication is clear and dangerous. Someone deliberately mixed poison in Aditi’s glass.

Dadabhai asks the obvious question. From where did the poison come? The inspector reveals that his team has already searched Aniruddh’s house as part of the investigation and that now Chatterjee’s house will also be searched thoroughly.

Jhanak finally enters the room, unknowingly walking into a firing line of suspicion. The inspector questions her calmly but firmly about that day. Jhanak looks genuinely confused and says she does not understand what everyone is accusing her of. She explains that she prepared juice for everyone and did not even know that Aditi’s family would be present at the function.

The inspector probes further, asking whether she felt happy seeing Aditi’s family there. Jhanak answers honestly and says she did. Rishi quickly warns her to be careful while responding, sensing that every word she speaks can be twisted against her. The inspector bluntly asks Jhanak if she knows how poison ended up in that glass.

Before Jhanak can respond, Tanushri jumps in aggressively. She claims that Jhanak was happy to see Aditi because she had been planning to get rid of her for a long time. She goes a step further and points out that Jhanak studies in a medical college, giving her easy access to poison-related substances. Dadabhai immediately intervenes and reminds everyone that nothing has been proven yet and the investigation is still ongoing.

Sanjhbati tries to bring some sanity into the situation. She says they did not witness anything directly, so they cannot accuse Jhanak or anyone else without proof. The inspector then turns the tables and asks Jhanak who she thinks the culprit is.

Jhanak refuses to play that game. She clearly states that she did not do anything. The inspector, visibly unconvinced, asks her if she thinks she can escape simply by denying everything. He openly tells her that they believe she is behind the poisoning. Jhanak, holding her ground, asks him to produce proof if they want to call her guilty.

The inspector asks whether she is not afraid. Jhanak replies with quiet strength that everyone is accusing her, yet no solid evidence exists against her. The inspector counters by stating the obvious. Jhanak prepared the juice, and she served it. That alone creates a strong possibility that she already had poison and mixed it into Aditi’s glass intentionally.

Jhanak repeats her question. Where is the proof?

The inspector coldly tells her that she will see the proof in court. He then asks another unsettling question. According to her, could anyone from Rishi’s family have tried to kill Aditi? Jhanak looks genuinely surprised and asks why they would do such a thing. The inspector continues, asking if Aditi’s parents or Sanjhbati’s family could be behind it. Jhanak immediately defends Sanjhbati’s family, calling them good people.

She then drops a line that changes the entire direction of suspicion. Jhanak says there is also a possibility that the poison was meant for her.

Rishi and Putul support this theory, agreeing that Jhanak herself could have been the target.

The scene cuts to Aditi, who is recovering and still unable to believe that Jhanak would ever try to kill her. Anjana urges Aditi to drink soup. Aditi suddenly asks whether Nutan named her child Moon. Anjana avoids the topic, clearly uncomfortable, and asks her not to think about such things right now.

Back at the Chatterjee house, Jhanak speaks quietly but with pain. She tells the inspector that she has no one in this family who truly cares for her. That is why no one even thought the poison might have been meant for her. She points out that everyone accused her without hesitation. The inspector asks whom she is accusing in return.

Jhanak clarifies that she is not accusing anyone directly, but Aniruddh hates her openly. She suggests that there is a real possibility Aniruddh brought poison to kill her. She argues that Aniruddh would benefit if she died. Her voice cracks as she questions why she is being interrogated so harshly while others are spared.

The inspector assures her that everyone is being investigated. Jhanak insists that Aniruddh should also be questioned thoroughly. Rishi supports her point, and Dadabhai agrees that the truth must come out no matter what. Neelu taunts Jhanak, saying no one thinks the way she does. Indumati accuses Jhanak of dragging Aniruddh’s name just to save herself.

The inspector announces that they are now looking for the poison container. He decides to begin by searching Jhanak’s room first. Neelu leads the way, her expression anything but sympathetic.

Meanwhile, at another location, Arshi confronts Aniruddh. She asks him whether Jhanak has gone mad. Aniruddh coldly replies that Jhanak is desperate. Arshi adds that even Nutan was never this desperate. Aniruddh snaps at her and tells her not to mention Nutan again. Arshi wonders why Jhanak has not been arrested yet. Aniruddh explains that the investigation is still ongoing and casually remarks that he is glad God saved Aditi because he never intended to poison her.

At Sanjhbati’s maternal house, her mother tells Kaka that Sanjhbati and Dritimaan are coming for lunch. Before they can settle, police officers arrive to search the house in connection with Aditi’s case. They search and leave without finding anything. Sanjhbati and Dritimaan arrive shortly after. Sanjhbati’s mother admits that all this chaos is new and overwhelming for her. She hopes the police do not return.

Sanjhbati mentions that Jhanak is claiming Aniruddh is behind the poisoning. Her mother is confused and asks why Aniruddh would want to kill Aditi. Sanjhbati replies with a chilling possibility. Maybe Aniruddh did this to kill Jhanak.

The episode ends with the mystery deepening rather than resolving.
