Jhanak 2nd January 2026 Written Update: Love Confessions, Courtroom Truths, and a Woman Caught Between Justice and Ruin
Today’s episode of Jhanak… wow. Chaos. Everyone’s raw, exposed, shaken. And the confessions—ouch.
It starts with that moment you know will change everything. Rishi just blurts it out. “I love you, Jhanak. Society… it doesn’t matter to me.” No filter. Raw. Reckless. Jhanak freezes, eyes wide, then snaps, “Stop. Just stop.” She can feel the damage already. Aditi stands frozen, struggling to understand how she can continue living in the same house after hearing this. Instead of softening the blow, Rishi makes it worse. He bluntly says that sometimes a person can fall in love with two people. He even tells Aditi to go to court if she wants. His declaration that he dares to accept the truth, unlike Aniruddh, shocks everyone.
Arshi lashes out, questioning what kind of man Rishi really is. Rishi admits that the truth is painful but insists it is still the truth. Jhanak steps in firmly, refusing to let this confession destroy Aditi’s life. She reminds Rishi that he is Aditi’s husband and accuses him of insulting his own marriage with such statements. Jhanak makes it clear that she will not come between them and will never break their marriage. But Rishi refuses to retreat. He announces that he will no longer hide the truth and openly declares that he loves both Aditi and Jhanak, claiming there is nothing wrong in it. The room falls silent as everyone reels from the shock. Rishi coldly places the decision in Aditi’s hands, leaving her shattered.
The next day, the drama shifts to the courtroom, where emotions are replaced by facts and consequences. Jhanak’s lawyer calls catering manager Deep to the witness box. Deep explains that he went to the Chatterjee house with his team to manage an event. The lawyer questions why Deep’s team gave instructions to Jhanak when she was not part of their staff. He then presents a voice recorder as evidence, calling it solid proof against Aniruddh.
The courtroom listens as the recording plays. It contains a chilling conversation between Aniruddh and Deep, clearly plotting Jhanak’s murder. The revelation sends shockwaves through the courtroom. Aditi and others are visibly shaken. Aniruddh immediately claims the recording is edited and insists he had no reason to do such a thing. The judge notes the objection but says the authenticity will be verified later.
Aniruddh’s lawyer, Mr. Ghosh, tries to regain control by arguing that Aniruddh hired the catering team because they were related through his daughter’s in-laws and that his client is being accused without reason. Jhanak’s lawyer counters by informing the court that Jhanak has demanded a DNA test from Aniruddh. Mr. Ghosh dismisses this as irrelevant to the attempted murder case and calls Rishi to the witness box instead.
Rishi admits that his marriage to Jhanak did happen but clarifies that it was forced. Mr. Ghosh questions whether Parashar is Jhanak’s father. Rishi explains that Parashar is not her biological father but the man who raised her and took responsibility for Nutan. The questioning then moves toward Aniruddh and Nutan’s past.
Rishi delivers a revelation that stuns the courtroom. He explains that Aditi was kidnapped from the hospital at birth and later rescued by Nutan, who brought her to Simulboni. Eventually, Aniruddh arrived in Simulboni for work and discovered that Nutan was living there with Aditi and Parashar. Upon realizing that Aditi was his daughter, Aniruddh married Nutan. But when Nutan later revealed she was pregnant, Aniruddh refused to accept the child. He accused Nutan of carrying Parashar’s baby and abandoned her. Rishi states that Nutan never contacted Aniruddh again after that betrayal.
Rishi describes Parashar as a genuinely good man and calls Jhanak the living proof of Nutan and Aniruddh’s love. He states that Jhanak’s demand for a DNA test comes from knowing the truth. According to him, Aniruddh is fully aware of reality but fears losing his reputation.
The judge concludes that Deep’s guilt in the attempted murder case has been proven and orders punishment. Aniruddh is barred from leaving the city until the investigation is complete. Outside the courtroom, tempers flare. Arshi panics about how this will affect Aniruddh’s business and scolds Mr. Ghosh for his weak defense. Aditi appears emotionally unstable and begs Mr. Ghosh to end the matter quickly. Mr. Ghosh suggests agreeing to the DNA test and then filing a defamation case against Jhanak. Arshi urges Aditi to file for divorce first. Aniruddh stubbornly insists he will not accept crimes he claims he never committed. Aditi breaks down in tears.
Jhanak notices Aditi’s pain and asks Rishi to go to her, but he refuses. Jhanak admits that she never wanted things to reach this point. Her only goal was justice for Nutan. Sanjhbati advises Rishi to speak to Aditi. When Aditi approaches, she bitterly asks Jhanak if she finally feels at peace. Jhanak replies that she had no other choice. She urges Aditi to talk to Rishi, but Aditi says there is nothing left to discuss and declares that she will divorce him. Rishi agrees without hesitation.
Jhanak again clarifies that she never wanted to come between Rishi and Aditi. Aditi taunts her, while Rishi labels Aniruddh a criminal. Arshi questions Rishi’s sanity for standing with another woman while married. Aditi silences her, repeating that she will divorce Rishi. Jhanak, overwhelmed by guilt, announces that she will withdraw the case to stop the destruction. Rishi strongly opposes this. Jhanak instead promises Aditi that she will leave. Aditi coldly states she wants nothing from Jhanak.
