The episode picks up in Tara’s room, where Saru lightly prepares a herbal paste to soothe Tara’s facial rashes. She hold the motley with serious-mindedness, hoping to bushel both the skin irritation and the tension boiling in the house. Saru keeps her tone soft, assuring Tara that the paste will calm her skin and she will look perfect for her award ceremony. Tara listens in stony silence before unleashing a blow sharper than any wound Saru has carried till now. She says her true award would be seeing Saru walk out of Ved’s life forever. She mocks Saru’s efforts, accusing her of using kindness to manipulate Ved and win back his affection. Tara declares she will never allow any healing — not of her face, not of the relationship.
Saru stands shattered, but Tara is far from done. She suddenly screams for the family, clutching her face dramatically. She claims Saru applied something harmful to disfigure her. The family rushes in, and Tara builds her story with practiced tears. She insists that Saru attempted to ruin her appearance deliberately. Ved freezes, troubled by the possibility.
