Yeh Hain Chahatein 28 July Episode starts with Karun telling Jagdish that he doesn’t want to study in this school anymore. Jagdish, furious, raises his hand to slap Karun, but Nitya intervenes, reminding him that Karun is just a child. The principal advises Jagdish to take the drama home, suggesting that if he wanted to slap Karun, he should have done it earlier. Karun thinks to himself that this news will be a gift for his dad and hopes it will bring trouble for Arjun and Kashvi.
Arjun tells Kashvi that Nagesh will realize they are undercover officers. They observe Nagesh talking to a sweets vendor and approach him. The vendor informs them that only doodh jalebi is available as the other sweets are booked for a bhandara (feast) organized by Nagesh every month. When asked if they want sweets, Arjun replies they will come back tomorrow. He tells Kashvi that they need to inform Mahinder Sir to send a team, as this is Nagesh’s village, and everyone admires him. Kashvi insists they keep an eye on him, but Arjun says they can’t follow him openly as he might recognize them. Kashvi suggests they disguise themselves, and they spot a saree shop. Arjun jokes about wanting a moustache, and Kashvi teases him by calling him Gulabo. They enter the shop and come out wearing sarees, with Kashvi continuing to call him Gulabo. Arjun says they should get going, but Kashvi suddenly changes her mind and refuses to go.
Meanwhile, Nitya pretends to be upset and tells Karun that his father is with Kashvi, despite taking his promise. Karun is dismayed, feeling betrayed. Nitya consoles him and says they will confront his father and teach Kashvi a lesson. Karun asks how, and Nitya suggests they go to where Arjun is. Overhearing a conversation between Jagdish and Arjun, Nitya learns that Arjun is in Karla Nagar. She plans to send Karun there to create trouble for Kashvi.
Jagdish informs Arjun that Karun has been expelled from school. Arjun reassures him that Karun’s education and future will be secured, promising to speak with Raunaq Sir to resolve the situation. Jagdish hopes Arjun can fix everything. Nitya, having learned Arjun’s location, decides to head to Karla Nagar with Karun.
Kashvi, sitting at the bhandara, sees Nagesh serving food and being praised by the villagers. Her phone rings, attracting Nagesh’s attention. Pretending the phone belongs to her son, she dismisses it. Suspicious, Nagesh and his goon decide to keep an eye on her. Kashvi quickly messages Arjun for help. Realizing she is an undercover officer, Nagesh devises a plan to teach her a lesson. He orders his goons to bring her to where the food is being prepared. The goons hit Kashvi on the head, knocking her out, and hide her in a large cooking utensil. They leave to inform Nagesh but collide with Arjun, who is disguised as a woman. Arjun scolds them in character, but overhears them saying the lady officer is in danger, shocking him.
Nitya and Karun are on their way to Karla Nagar when their car breaks down. Meanwhile, Nagesh calls Mahinder, threatening to kill his wife if Devraj is not released. He reveals he has captured the lady officer, who is slowly nearing death. He hangs up, leaving Mahinder and Raunaq Sir distressed. Raunaq Sir calls Arjun, informing him of Nagesh’s threat. Arjun, shocked, wonders how he will find Kashvi. Raunaq Sir advises him to seek help from Meera and Vikram and keep him updated on Kashvi’s status. Determined, Arjun recalls Nagesh’s words and desperately tries to figure out where Kashvi might be.
