Scene 1: Armaan’s Proposal
The episode begins with Abhira feeling silly for breaking the bench where Armaan had lovingly written her name. Armaan arrives with a new name board, making her smile. He confesses, “You came to me as a responsibility, then became my need, and now you’re my life. I have everything if I have you. Will you become my wife? Will you marry me?” Overwhelmed, Abhira hugs him and playfully says, “You thought of this now? I thought my proposal was nice, but you’ve outdone me.” Armaan, eager for an answer, urges her to stop comparing proposals and just respond. Abhira teases him, saying he already knows her answer, and then finally says yes.
Armaan then drops a surprising question, “Will you marry me tomorrow without the elders’ consent and blessings?” This leaves Abhira stunned, causing her to drop the name board. She hesitates, expressing her desire to marry him but with reservations. Armaan insists on a simple yes or no. Abhira, conflicted, eventually agrees.
Scene 2: The Plan and the Conflict
Armaan fixes the name board on the bench and confidently declares that they will marry the next day and then have their own house. Abhira, concerned, asks if this means they will be separated from their families. Armaan reassures her, reminding her of her love for him and urging her to trust his decision. He explains that Dadi will never accept her, and he cannot bear to see her insulted. Abhira, torn between love and duty, tries to make him understand the importance of family. As they talk, Ruhi overhears their conversation and rushes home, determined to inform Dadi.
Scene 3: Ruhi’s Secret and Armaan’s Determination
Ruhi arrives home, eager to speak with Dadi, but Manisha stops her, explaining that Dadi is sleeping due to a headache. Reluctantly, Ruhi agrees to wait until morning. Meanwhile, Armaan packs his bag in preparation for their secret wedding. Abhira tries to call him, knowing what he’s planning, but Armaan refuses to change his mind. He firmly believes that they can create their own family, even if it means leaving their current one behind.
Abhira, troubled by the situation, receives a dress from Vidya, who hints at the significance of the day. It’s Abhira’s first Teej, a special occasion for married women. Vidya advises her to keep a fast for Armaan and pray for their future. Abhira, still conflicted, wonders if Armaan is right about leaving the family.
Scene 4: The Revelation and the Morning After
Later, Armaan writes Abhira’s name on his name board, declaring his readiness to spend his life with her. Abhira, however, decides she is willing to wait for Dadi’s consent before making any drastic decisions. Ruhi, frustrated, confronts Abhira, who brushes her off.
The next morning, Rohit wakes up to find Ruhi applying slaked lime, hoping to darken the color of her mehendi, a sign of strong marital bonds. Ruhi proudly tells Rohit that she’s keeping a fast for him, signaling her commitment to their relationship. As the day progresses, Manish and Surekha arrive at the Poddar house, greeted by Ruhi and the family.
Just then, a man arrives with a key, explaining that it’s for Armaan’s new house, where he plans to move in after the wedding. Shocked, Ruhi realizes that Armaan and Abhira are planning to leave the house after marrying. Determined to stop this, she resolves to talk to Dadi and prevent the marriage from happening without the family’s blessing.
