Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 30 july episode starts with Ruhi arguing with Abhira. Abhira insists that Rohit and Armaan’s relationship shouldn’t break. Madhav, feeling torn, says both his sons are equal to him and wonders how to make them believe that. Vidya consoles him, saying there’s no need to worry and they mustn’t lose courage. She hugs him and assures him they cannot fail in their duty. Sanjay apologizes to Dadi, explaining that he would never have let Armaan remarry and that the family’s respect is more important to him than his life. Dadi gives him a toffee and asks him to help Rohit, stating that Rohit, though not a good lawyer, is her heir and needs to be made capable. Sanjay promises to support Rohit, and Dadi blesses him. Kajal observes this and smiles.
At dinner, Manisha serves food to Armaan, who mentions he needs to eat with Abhira too. Ruhi looks on and mentions she is going to Manish’s house tomorrow. Rohit sarcastically comments that she might be tired of acting. Ruhi retorts, saying that Rohit is weak and offloads his responsibilities onto others, mentioning he should have handled their marriage. Rohit dismisses the marriage as a drama, accusing Ruhi of loving someone else. Dadi intervenes by beating a plate, stating that their argument stems from care and there is still hope for their relationship. She suggests they give their marriage another chance, mentioning that Ruhi brought Rohit home as a sign of fate. Sanjay, however, is against Ruhi and Rohit reuniting, revealing to Kajal that he wants Armaan and Abhira to be together so he can take over the Poddar firm. Kajal is shocked and questions whether he would break their family for the firm. Sanjay clarifies he means the Poddar family, not theirs.
Everyone gathers in the lawn for a conversation. Vidya states that Abhira will always support Armaan, but Rohit has no one and needs their support more. Madhav refuses to force Rohit and Ruhi to stay together if they don’t wish to, prioritizing the family’s happiness. Dadi, however, insists she is doing it for the family’s happiness. Rohit’s photo flies off, and Abhira accidentally steps on it. She questions what about Rohit’s happiness, causing Ruhi to reflect on Dadi’s words. Rohit appears, and Ruhi says she will leave, to which he indifferently tells her to go. Ruhi laments that she stayed with his mangalsutra while he ran away, accusing him of being unfit for marriage before leaving. Dadi admonishes Abhira, accusing her of being wrong in the house. Abhira gets pushed by Dadi but is caught by Armaan. Dadi accuses Abhira of being jealous of Ruhi and not wanting Ruhi to come back, questioning Abhira’s trust in Armaan. Abhira asserts that she fully trusts Armaan. Ruhi, crying, questions why she can’t forget Armaan. Dadi pressures Abhira to admit her feelings, and Armaan asks Abhira to answer Dadi. Abhira, holding Armaan’s hand, firmly states that she completely trusts her Armaan.
