Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 31 july episode Starts – Scene 1: The Escape and Gratitude
Nagesh is about to shoot Mohan when Vikram hits him on the head with a stick. The gunshot hits the floor as Nagesh runs away. The police comment that catching Nagesh will be a challenge because he knows the area well. Later, Raunaq Sir informs Arjun and Kashvi that while Nagesh has escaped, Devraj is in police custody. He thanks Kashvi for postponing her transfer for the country’s sake and asks when she plans to leave. Kashvi responds, “Tonight, I will be going.” Meera questions Kashvi on her departure, and Kashvi responds that she knows the reason well. Meera requests Kashvi to stay for her wedding and fulfill her duty as an elder sister. Kashvi agrees and hugs Meera. Arjun overhears and feels happy, thinking that even though he couldn’t talk to her, he can still see her.
Scene 2: The School Dilemma
Arjun visits Karun’s school to plead with the principal to give Karun another chance. The principal refuses, stating that despite Arjun’s busy mission, he couldn’t discipline Karun, who needs to mend his ways. She firmly believes such children are difficult to change and apologizes for her decision. Arjun is left frustrated and helpless.
Scene 3: Nitya’s Visit
Nitya approaches Arjun with a glass of cold coffee. Arjun, in his frustration, pushes the glass, causing it to spill. Nitya is upset and tells him she brought the coffee to help. Arjun vents about Karun being rusticated and how he has been troubled since Kashvi left. Nitya reminds him that Karun insisted on coming to Karla Nagar because he heard Kashvi was there. Meanwhile, Karun goes outside to play.

Nagesh and his goon infiltrate the wedding venue. Vikram spots a suspicious goon holding flowers. Nagesh plots where to set up the blast. Mohan joins Meera, and Romila teases them, saying Mohan should admire Meera for the rest of his life. Isha remarks that their love is new, while Kashvi explains that Vikram has been Mohan’s guardian since childhood, and their love story is rooted in their past. As Isha applies mehendi on Kashvi’s hand, Kashvi suddenly feels nauseous and rushes to the bathroom, wondering what she ate.
Scene 7: The Unexpected Rescue
Karun, trying to play with other kids, gets rejected because they think he is a bad boy. Frustrated, he kicks the ball inside the house and goes to retrieve it. Meanwhile, Kashvi exits the bathroom, feeling dizzy, and falls. Arjun catches her just in time, preventing her from hitting the floor. They share a brief, intense moment, hinting at unresolved emotions between them.
