At the beginning of the episode, Anupama asks why Vanraj is talking about rent. Kavya says they do not need any favors so they will pay her rent. She says the factory belongs to Bapuji. Vanraj says she will get it as he has given it to her. Kavya thinks Vanraj is just faking that Anupama is his friend.
Baa asks Bapuji why he is so upset. Bapuji says it is all because of Vanraj. He uses Anupama as and when he likes and he must mend his ways. He says things have become better but his stubbornness will spoil everything. He says the family always talks about sons but do not give credit to the daughter. Baa says she will talk to Vanraj. He tells her to tell her son to behave well with his daughter.
Vanraj scolds the staff to make the dishes exactly the same way as Anupama makes as people want them only. Kavya says she too will learn. Vanraj snubs her by saying, he is not talking about making eyebrows but dishes. He says it is because of her that people believe that the cafe runs only because of Anupama. She says he is taking out his anger on her. Vanraj says she tried to take all credit but Anupama got all credit instead.
Samar is angry that Vanraj used Anupama like that and says she should accept market-rate rent. Anupama says they should not pay attention to all this and should just do their work and remain happy.
Guests come to the cafe and say they are from a show. They say want to take their interview to show that couples can stay friends even after separation. Kavya says they can take her interview but they decline. Kavya says she is not a second wife but first. Vanraj says he cannot do the interview. He says the place belongs to his father and his current wife is helping him run it. Kavya tells him to take her name. He says he hasn’t taken any financial support from Anupama. The reporter goes. They say that his ego has been hurt. Vanraj says they must speak in front of him. The reporters warn him to be careful as they are from the media. Vanraj is rude to them.
Anupama sees all this and thinks he will never change. She thinks his ego is too big. Vanraj receives a notice to pay Rs. 20 lakh property tax of the cafe land. He is shocked.
The chef requests Vanraj to try the dish that he has made. Vanraj comes home and sees Anupama taking a dance class. He thinks how he will pay the rent to Anupama.
Kavya calls Vanraj and says she has chosen placemats and tablecloths and will send him pics. He tells her to choose herself. Samar asks Anupama why Vanraj is in tension. She says she does not know. Samar says some letter came and since then he is upset. He says it is not their problem.
Rakhi says when a problem comes, it affects everyone in the family. She says she does not want Kinjal to stay in that house. He tells Toshu that he did well to give an ultimatum to Kinjal. Rakhi says his love should take her away from that house. She says she could not give enough time to Kinjal while growing up, that is why she is so attached to Anupama. She tells him to keep trying to get Kinjal out of that house.
Samar and Anupama see that the exit door is closed. Anupama sees that Vanraj is in tension. She picks the envelope from the floor and sees the notice. She is shocked to see the amount of Rs. 20 lakh.
Baa taunts Kavya when she comes back from shopping. She gives her water and asks if she will have tea. Kavya says she wants coffee. Pakhi tells Kavya about her dance trial. Kavya is uninterested. She says she does not want to listen to all this. Pakhi goes back disappointed. Baa says she should show the same understanding to her mother too. Pakhi says Anupama gives her time to others.
Anupama asks what will happen if they do not pay on time. Vanraj says it will close. He says they will have to pay it together as they are both working in this space. Anupama agrees and asks him not to tell it to anyone in the family. They wonder how to arrange the money. Anupama says they must find a way as they cannot let anything spoil their dream. Vanraj says if loses this cafe, he will lose in life. Anupama says they will figure out some way. Samar looks at them.
Upcoming Story: Kavya shouts at Vanraj and says that you have not told me about notice but now how will arrange Rs. twenty lakhs.
Rakhi comes and taunts that she will give money which is a better option from either begging to others or selling kidneys.
Vanraj says they will take the loan. Rakhi again taunts and says which bank will give you a loan and you have to come to her feet.
