At the beginning of the episode, Rishi says he wishes this year to be over fast, so that he can get rid of Lakshmi and marry Malishka. Lakshmi’s foot trips and her MANGALSUTRA gets stuck and breaks. Soniya tells Rishi and Malishka to somehow pass this crucial time. Malishka says this is not easy for her either, but whatever Neelam says turns out to be right, so she is tolerating him with Lakshmi.
Lakshmi collects the beads of her MANGALSUTRA. Virendra comes there and lifts her up. Lakshmi is surprised to see him. She asks Virendra if Rishi is alright as it is a bad omen. Virendra tells her to leave the beads as they can get new ones. She collects all the beads and says she got scared. She tells Virendra that he is with her so how can something wrong happen to her. Virendra feels guilty seeing her like this.
Neelam says Karishma made a mistake by calling Malishka. Malishka and Rishi are holding hands when Malishka sees Lakshmi outside the door. She leaves his hands quickly. Lakshmi comes in and is emotional to see Rishi. Neelam thanks Lakshmi for saving Rishi’s life. Lakshmi tells her not to say so as Rishi is everything for her. She says anything can happen to her but not to Rishi. Neelam stops her and says nothing should happen to her also. Neelam asks her how she is. She tells her that she came to see her but Lakshmi was unconscious, so she came here. Lakshmi says she did right as when someone is unwell, then they want their mother near them. Dadi asks if she did not need a mother. Lakshmi says Neelam is there for her also. Ayush also apologises to her. Lakshmi says it is alright.
Lakshmi is surprised to see Malishka at Rishi’s side. Malishka gives her chair to Lakshmi. Malishka tells that she met her at the engagement party. Karishma says Malishka is not just Rishi’s friend but family friend. Soniya says she is too caring. Lakshmi says on engagement day, she saved her from falling and today also she gave her the place to sit.
Virendra tells Neelam that he is feeling guilty for taking advantage of Lakshmi. He says Lakshmi loves Rishi deeply, so he is feeling selfish. Neelam says they saved Lakshmi from marrying Balwinder. She says they do not want anything bad for Lakshmi, just want to save their son. Virendra says they should have told the truth to Lakshmi. Neelam says Lakshmi is Rishi’s shield. Virendra asks what if Lakshmi had died, but Neelam says nothing happened to her. Neelam tells him to be strong. Karishma overhears their conversation.
Devika calls Neelam and says Pandit ji wants to talk to her. Neelam tells him about the attack and how Lakshmi saved him. Pandit ji says Lakshmi is DEVI and she is Rishi’s shield. Neelam tells Devika to arrange everything for Ganesh Chaturthi.
Malishka asks Lakshmi if she didn’t fear when she jumped into the water. Lakshmi says she was scared for Rishi, not for herself. Malishka tells her that she also works with Rishi and Virendra. Virendra asks Rishi how he is. Rishi says he is upset because he loves Lakshmi more than him. Virendra says he loves Lakshmi but not more than him, but the same as him. Virendra tells Lakshmi to take care of herself. She says she is taking care. Virendra takes Lakshmi’s hand and puts it in Rishi’s hand as Malishka watches. He asks Lakshmi to promise that she will not leave Rishi.
