At the beginning of the episode, Rishi and Lakshmi are talking when Rano asks her to go back home as it is too late. Virendra tells Rano and others to come the next day for engagement on time. Neelam says they will manage everything and they don’t have to worry about any arrangement.
Neha screams at Rano and Preetam that Lakshmi snatched her Rishi. Preetam tries to calm her down but Rano also shows anger on Preetam. Preetam tries to handle the situation. Rano says how could Rishi choose a village girl like Lakshmi over Neha. Preetam says it is fate. He says they will also have to prepare for the engagement. Rano says how Lakshmi could be so lucky.
Neelam supervises the arrangements for the engagement. Virendra tells her to relax. The car mechanic brings Rishi’s car after repair. Neelam is surprised to know the bill of 7 lakh. The mechanic tells them that the car was in an accident. Neelam says how could Rishi hide such a thing. The mechanic tells them that Balwinder attacked Rishi. Neelam recalls that Rishi was very happy after her meeting with Lakshmi and said her meeting was fateful. She thinks Rishi lied to her about his injury because of Lakshmi.
Lakshmi makes halwa for Shalu and Bani. Bani says Lakshmi should make halwa first after marriage. Neha comes and asks for halwa rudely. Shalu does not like Neha bossing around Lakshmi and taunts Neha about Rishi and his rich family. Lakshmi scolds Shalu for her behavior. Shalu gets angry with Lakshmi.
Neha goes out when she almost collides with Oberoi’s car. Balwinder comes to Neha and says whether Lakshmi learned her lesson after his attack on Rishi. Neha says nothing of the sort happened and they are getting engaged today. He says no one can take Lakshmi away from him.
Neelam says engagement cannot happen as Lakshmi is not as they expected. Neelam says she asked Lakshmi what happened on their date, but she said all was fine. Neelam says she lied about the attack on Rishi by Balwinder. She says they cannot take this risk. She blames Rano and Balwinder also. Rano says they had no idea. Neelam says they cannot risk their son’s life because of Lakshmi. She breaks the engagement. Balwinder’s friend hears this and tells him and Neha that engagement is broken.
Lakshmi is crying. Shalu and Bani try to console her. Neha is overjoyed to see Lakshmi crying. Rano says it is too late and all their relatives are coming. She says Rishi can get engaged to Neha instead, as Lakshmi is anyway not deserving of Rishi. Rishi comes there and says she is wrong. Rishi says sorry to Neelam. He says why is she angry with Lakshmi as he made her promise not to tell anything. He asks Lakshmi why she did not tell anything to Neelam. Lakshmi says how she could break her promise to him.
Virendra asks why Rishi hid such a thing. Rishi says it was because Neelam was unwell the previous day and he did not want to give her more tension. He says if he had told her before then she would be saying thank you to Lakshmi because Lakshmi saved his life again. He tells how Lakshmi’s dupatta saved him from getting hurt from the glass. He tells Lakshmi brought the car in between him and the goons. He says she kept pressing the horn to call passersby and if he is alive, it is only because of Lakshmi.
