At the beginning of the episode, Rishi tells Virendra he has been lying to impress Lakshmi, but he cannot stand her. Lakshmi comes out looking for Rishi. He says he cannot tolerate a lower middle class mindset like hers. He says he married her according to their wishes but he cannot pretend anymore. Virendra says he has just gotten married and this marriage is very important for him and whole family. Lakshmi comes there and sees both of them.
Rishi says to Lakshmi that he was coming to tell her the truth. She asks what truth. He says he lied that no-one in his family drinks or smokes. He says Virendra smokes and drinks despite him telling him not to do so. He says she should convince him now that she is here. Lakshmi says she is her father so he must try and get rid of these habits as they are very bad for health. Virendra says he was in some stress so he took one drink and it is allowed in Panjabis. Lakshmi says it is not allowed for him or anyone in her family. She asks him to promise. Virendra says he will try. Rishi says he has been telling this to him for years, but he agreed in one time for Lakshmi. Virendra says after all she is Lakshmi of this house. He tells them to go and rest.
Lakshmi goes. Virendra thanks Rishi. Rishi says how can he live with her as he finds her annoying. Virendra thinks his problem’s solution lies in the problem only. Rishi shows Lakshmi the room and her cupboard. He feeds his number in Lakshmi’s new phone. He thanks Lakshmi for convincing Virendra and for marrying her. He tells her that she is looking very pretty. He says he is expecting a call from abroad. He tells her to sleep as he will get late. Lakshmi is confused by Rishi’s behaviour.
Next morning, Lakshmi comes down for puja. Panditji tells her that she is the first one today so she must do the AARTI. Lakshmi does AARTI. Neelam comes there and also does AARTI. Rest of the family also joins. Dadi tells Rishi to come forward to do AARTI with Lakshmi. Rishi and Lakshmi do AARTI. Rishi gets a call and goes away.
Shalu calls for Lakshmi and Ayush picks up the phone. Shalu and Bani ask how she is. Lakshmi says is Shalu taking care of Bani. Shalu asks if everything is alright. Shalu asks her about her first night. Lakshmi scolds Shalu and tells her not to talk like that. Shalu says she is not sounding normal. Lakshmi says everything is fine, only the new environment bothers her sometimes. Shalu figures out that something is wrong. Rano comes there and asks who it is. Shalu gives her the call. Rano pretends to be nice in front of Gurucharan. Neelam invites Rano for MUH-DIKHAI ritual in the evening.
Lakshmi feels lonely in the new house. Dadi talks to her and says she must be feeling awkward and says this is normal for a new bride. She says she must make something sweet for the whole family to please everyone. She tells Ahana to take Lakshmi to kitchen. Lakshmi is amazed to see the huge kitchen.
Karishma asks Dadi why she sent Lakshmi in kitchen. She says she could have asked the chef to make something sweet. Dadi says it is a ritual for the new bride. Dadi asks what her problem is. Karishma says she knows well what the problem is and with whom. Ahana asks if she needs any help, but Lakshmi says she is used to it. Lakshmi says she will make PINNIs for everyone. Karishma says Rishi was forced to marry Lakshmi just because Virendra and Lakshmi liked the girl. Dadi says so what. Karishma goes from there. Dadi says this girl can never be happy with anyone.
