In the beginning of the episode, Malishka asks Rishi if he doesn’t believe that Neelam met with the accident because of Lakshmi. Rishi doesn’t reply and Malishka repeats, he looks at his engagement ring and then leaves from there. Virendra says that he thinks Ayush is right, if Lakshmi wouldn’t have said in the middle of the engagement ceremony that she wants to say something then Neelam wouldn’t have gotten hurt. He says that Lakshmi shouldn’t have interrupted now because of her, Neelam is in hospital.
Karishma sees Malishka’s mother standing outside Neelam’s ward and asks her why she looks worried. Malishka’s mother says to Karishma that she feels like someone knowingly did it to stop the engagement. Meanwhile, Lakshmi in front of the temple in the hospital prays to god and asks why it always happens to her. She has a flashback of her holding her father’s hand and then him dying, she says to God that she even tried to hold Neelam’s hand and it slipped. She prays to God that it shouldn’t happen to her again, as she doesn’t want to lose Neelam like she lost her father.
When she turns she sees Rishi standing there as well and praying, he asks her to stop. He says to her that she was not replying to him when he asked what happened and then Neelam got angry and slipped on the stairs. He says to her that she should pray that nothing happens to his mother, because he wouldn’t be able to forgive her otherwise. Malishka comes there and takes Rishi with him.
Rishi says to Malishka in the hallway that she has to stop her possessiveness now, she says that she won’t tell him what everyone thinks has happened. He asks her to tell him as they always shared everything with each other. She says to him that they feel that Lakshmi knowingly made Neelam slip on the stairs, to stop the engagement. Rishi says to her that Lakshmi won’t do such a thing as he knows her, Shalu overhears them. Malishka then asks Rishi that if he knows Lakshmi so well then, what was she going to say in the middle of the engagement. Rishi then goes looking for Lakshmi.
Balwinder at the Oberoi mansion is able to distract the management and run off in his disguise. Shalu sees Lakshmi and asks her to go and tell Rishi how she feels, as she overheard Rishi take her side in front of Malishka when she was trying to instigate him. Rishi comes there breathing heavily and Shalu leaves, he asks Lakshmi what she wanted to say at the engagement ceremony.
