In the beginning of the episode, Karishma and Soniya worry that what if Lakshmi did something to destroy their plan as she is very clever. Karishma says that Lakshmi returned the money so that she became great in the eyes of the family and she still had a chance to get inside the house. Soniya calls Malishka. She tells her that Rishi took Lakshmi’s side and saved her from embarrassment. Soniya says that Rishi has changed, Malishka says she is very angry and won’t let him off the hook easily, today she will ask the tough questions to him.
Ayush calls Rishi. He tells him that everything happened south. He tells him about the stealing and how he saved her, but she still doesn’t want to talk to him. He says that she has made a shield around her to protect herself and he is finding it tough to reach out. Rishi sees Malishka and says to Ayush that he’ll talk later.
Rishi follows Malishka out of the store with the bags, he asks her to stop. She turns towards him and says if Lakshmi isn’t part of their lives anymore then why did he protect her. He says to her that she was innocent that even she is aware of and Lakshmi didn’t even ask for their help. She says that she told her that Rishi is somebody who breaks marriages and falls for some other girl. He says he knows why she said so. She says why is he still taking her side.
She asks him if he is still in love with Lakshmi. He says to her that she wants to know the truth. She says she does want to know the whole truth. He says to her that he did everything to save her. He says that he saw her while she was putting the necklace in Lakshmi’s bag. He says that he realized everything when he went to the washroom and that’s why she did all of this. So he came out and took Lakshmi’s side, as if the police did the investigation the CCTV would clear that she is responsible for framing Lakshmi.
Malishka apologies to Rishi and says to him that she did all of it in her insecurities. In the car, Rishi thinks to himself why he felt so strongly about Lakshmi and in the washroom felt suffocated thinking that he won’t be able to save Lakshmi. Meanwhile, Kalyani gives Lakshmi a bonus for making a big sale to Malishka and Rishi. Her fellow employees praise her and motivate her and she gets emotional seeing the cheque.
Rishi drops Malishka home. She without saying anything gets out of the car and leaves, ge asks her why she is doing so. She says to him that it was a special day for them as he proposed her today, but he is thinking of Lakshmi the whole time. He says from now on he’ll keep all of Lakshmi related feelings to to himself. At home Lakshmi and sisters discuss of depositing the cheque.
