Rajan and Deepa Shahi’s “Anupamaa ” has been the audience’s favourite since it first went on-air in July 2020. The show’s USP is its relatable storyline which the masses connected with instantly. And while Anupamaa’s success is all thanks to the concept and the story, there is no denying that Rupali Ganguly’s is portraying the titular character with utmost perfection. But did you know there was another actress who was considered for this role.
A little birdie tells us that actress Ami Trivedi, who is currently seen in Rajan’s longest-running show “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai”, was also deemed to play Anupamaa in the popular show. We have been told that the ace producer was left impressed with Ami’s audition and promised her to offer a role which suited her best. And he kept his promise.
When “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata” was going to take a leap, Ami was offered the role to play Harshad Chopra’s mother in the show. The mother-son duo share an interesting and heartwarming bond on-screen and the audience is already loving them.
