At the beginning of the episode, Virat goes to wake up Sai. Sai is surprised to see that Pakhi is gone. Sai has stuffy nose, so Virat makes her take steam. Ashwini irons Ninad’s clothes. Ninad thanks her for all that she does for him. His shirts’s button comes off, so Ashwini stitches it back on. Ninad asks her if Sai will ever realise that she in love with Virat. He says it is visible that they care for each other.
Ninad says husband and wife should not stay away for too long. Ashwini says Bhawani has already taken that decision for them. She worries if they again start fighting after living in the same room. Ashwini asks him to take them for Diwali shopping so that they can spend some time together. Ninad says he will be happy to to take them but what will Bhawani and Omkar say, as he and Omkar had planned to go already. Ashwini says she will talk to Bhawani.
Sai tells Virat that he should have checked on Pakhi. She says Virat does not understand anything. Virat says Pakhi just saw a nightmare and he has responsibility towards his brother’s wife. Virat asks Sai to take her medicine. Sai says her course is over. Virat says why she didn’t tell him yesterday. Sai thinks if she had told him then he would not have come to see her today. Ninad comes to Sai’s room. Sai is surprised. Ninad tells them that they have to go for Diwali shopping.
Bhawani says it is a different feeling to make shopping list for Diwali. Omkar says he also feels excited to go every year with Ninad. Karishma cleans the wall and dust falls on Sonali. She scolds her. Ashwini tells Bhawani that Ninad wants her to go for shopping with Sai and Virat. Omkar says he planned to go with him. Bhawani says what is this new drama. She says who Ashwini is to shop for the family.
Virat tells Ninad that an unnecessary argument will start. Ninad gives them the list and says the new generation must take over now. Virat tells Ninad to go with Ashwini. Ninad tells them to enjoy and they have planned a gift for them. Virat says they have to go to college also. Ninad asks Sai to do her work the next day. Sai agrees.
Bhawani rebukes Ashwini for planning to go out while others do the cleaning. Pakhi says they are not as lucky that their mother in law will take them shopping. Mansi says she knows she loves her a lot. Pakhi says not as much as Ashwini pampers Sai. Karishma says she only gets scolded all the time. Sonali warns her not to talk too much.
Sonali tells Ashwini that Karishma has started comparing because of her. Ashwini tells Pakhi not to instigate others. Bhawani says others do not give VIP treatment to their daughters in law. Ashwini says they are not going for outing. She says Ninad wants the next generation to learn about Diwali shopping. Virat comes and supports Ashwini.
Omkar complains why Ninad made plan with him the previous night. Ninad says they have been doing it for so many years, so now kids must take responsibility. Bhawani says then why Ashwini is going and why all kids are not going. Sai jokes that they have to go for shopping and not on some protest. Sai explains to Omkar that Ninad is busy so he cannot go.
Pakhi instigates Bhawani that Sai is talking back to her. Sai says she is not talking back and Pakhi cannot go anyway as her foot is hurt and if someone wants to come along, they can come. Bhawani tells Sai to not talk out of turn. Sai says she has the right to talk in house matters as the daughter in law of the house. Sonali says they would have changed Virat’s wife if they could.
