At the beginning of the episode, the family prepares for Janmashtami. Sonali scolds Karishma for cutting fruits in the wrong way. Karishma says it is easy to nitpick others. Sonali says she goes to her parents’ house whenever there is some function in the house. Bhavani praises Pakhi for making beautiful rangoli. Bhavani tells Ashwini that all daughters-in-law are working except Sai. Ashwini says the temple decoration has all been done by Sai. Bhavani says she always keeps praising Sai. Ashwini says Pakhi has made CHHAPAN BHOG for puja.
Sai comes from college and hurries to get ready. She goes to the bathroom just as Virat comes out. Sai thinks if Virat will tell her about his transfer being on hold. She hopes he has not found out that she went to stop his transfer or else he will create a ruckus. She tries to ask him with excuses when he is going. Virat tells her that his transfer has been put on hold. Sai asks why. Virat says he has not been told. Virat looks at Sai’s bag and doubts her. Virat says she is the reason for his transfer being put on hold and asks her if she did something. Sai denies it. He asks her where she was the whole day. Sai thinks about how to answer him and makes an excuse that she went to Pulkit’s house. She starts towards the bathroom when Virat stops her and asks if she took the bag on the bed with her. Sai says she took the other bag. Sai says what is her connection with this. Virat says because she wanted to stop her transfer. Sai says she even wanted to know about his meet with Pakhi, but she does not always get what she wants. Virat thinks who could it be if not Sai. Sai says she has kept his clothes for puja. Virat says how she knew that he will attend puja and asks what she has done. Sai says she is no prime minister that his department will listen to her. Virat says it will be embarrassing for him in front of everyone. Sai says they are his family and will be happy. Sai wonders why she is so happy that Virat is not going. Virat wonders when Sai will realize her feelings.
Devi and Pulkit come for puja. Ashwini and Bhavani welcome them. Devi hugs Samrat. Samrat congratulates them on their wedding. Devi tells Samrat that Pulkit is a famous doctor. Samrat says he has never seen Devi so happy. Bhavani says today’s puja will be done by Samrat and Pakhi. Sai comes and hugs Devi. Samrat and Pakhi light the DIYA for puja.
Ashwini and Ninad ask Sai if Virat is coming. Virat sits next to Sai. Pakhi asks Virat why he is still here. Sai says everyone wanted him here on Janmashtami so they should be happy. Pakhi says she didn’t know Virat has kept a spokesperson for himself. Virat says he can never have Sai as his spokesperson. Samrat says why are Pakhi and Virat talking to Sai like that. Devi says Pakhi always taunts Sai like this. Bhavani tells them to focus on puja. Ashwini brings the idol and says that daughter-in-law should put it on a swing. Shivani says there are three daughters-in-law in this house, so they must all put. Sai says not to include her in all this as her marriage is just a compromise.
