Harjinder Singh: I’m not an insecure person… and I believe every individual face struggles in their own ways

Career is very important to everyone, says Harjinder Singh. Like every child, growing up the actor too had his dreams that he wanted to pursue.

“But my dreams back then weren’t so big but simple. I wasn’t sure if I would become an actor until I was approached for the first time. I had other things in mind,” he continues, “And, then when I entered this profession, I got to know a lot about it. The struggle is real in every field, so it is here. I believe every individual faces struggles in their own ways. And I’m not an insecure person, because I believe I have been blessed with the best of Devi Maaji’s grace already.”

Harjinder believes in consistency. “In my opinion learning is a non-stop procedure. Slowly and steadily I started learning more about acting, and my urge to opt for it as a career became stronger,” he adds.

In present times, films, OTT and television have opened doors, but the rise in competition and unemployment is disappointing. However, the actor does not agree.

“I feel otherwise. With television and OTT offering even more opportunities for those working in showbiz to showcase their talent on different platforms has offered more employment. But of course, competition will always be there. It’s everywhere,” he says.

Every actor wants his or her project to become a hit but there is no guarantee that it will happen. “There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, learning from failure’, said General Colin Powell. It’s our duty to give our best, rest we leave on our almighty. There is no shortcut to success but the harder I work, the luckier I get,” he adds.

Harjinder has always been happy to accept whatever opportunities he has received so far. He will take the same approach going forward. “Whatever happens, always happens for good.  Though if I would have started trying my hand a little earlier in this field I think it would have been a little better,” he says.

Talking about his career goals, the actor adds, “This pandemic has made me believe that more than anything else a healthy mind and body is essential. As far as my work is concerned, I will give my best and leave no stone unturned from my end, rest I leave to God and audience.”
