In the beginning of the episode, Aryan says to Imlie to change her clothes as she is not the guest to the wedding but a reporter there. She says to him that he is wrong as to mix up the guests and not to be able to tell apart they should also dress up. She says to Aryan that she is going to work as her boss likes her to be on time. Imlie while leaving her anklet comes off and falls on the floor, Aryan picks it up, looks at it for a moment and then keeps it inside his pocket. Meanwhile, Anu shows off in front of the Thripati family that she pulled off declaring for the function in a day. Ruby and Nishant speak to each other about Imlie and Aditya, Nishant says to her that he wishes that he could close them in a room alone. Ruby agrees and then both of them agree on doing the same.
At Tripathi house everyone gets dressed for the ceremony. Anu says to them that they are like chameleons as they are changing colours and sides with their convenience. Aparna says to Anu that it is also her son’s wedding. Anu sees Imlie dressed as Simran and laughs at her. Anu makes fun of Imlie for being Simran and asks her that she should have become what she is a servant and laughs at her. Imlie says that everyone has become someone who they aren’t in real life. Malini says that isn’t true as she and Aditya have become Devdas and Paro, who’s love story also started with friendship. She says the only difference this time is that Devdas and Paro are going to end up together.
The whole family show Imlie their characters and she appreciates everyone. Aryan sees her meeting everyone, Aparna says to Imlie that they all got dressed to bring Imlie’s smile. She wishes to God that Imlie always remains happy. Aditya says that she doesn’t need to give every job to God as Imlie nowadays always remains happy. Imlie says to him that she no longer is going to cry over her destiny and take control of it. She says to Aditya that he can continue his crying but she will not come to wipe his tears as he has lost that right.
The mehendi ceremony begins. Malini directs Anu to call Imlie. Anu calls Imlie and says to her to put on mehndi on Malini’s hand like last time. Imlie refuses to do so as she is not here to do that work. Malini says to her that she knows that she is putting up a show that she is fine. Imlie says she will put mehndi to prove she is unaffected. Imlie writes something stupid on her hand. Anu gets upset at Imlie for destroying Malini’s mehendi. She is about to slap Imlie, Aryan holds her hand and stops her from striking Imlie.
Upcoming- Anu insults Imlie by talking about her and Malini’s relationship and how she’s her step-sister. Anu asks to Imlie did she hurt when Aditya trusted Malini over her.
