Imlie is a love story of two people who got married forcefully by the villagers. One who is young and spontaneous and the other a Strict journalist both on different stages in their lives. It’s a gripping story with new twists and turns in the journey of them finding love in each other.
In this week’s episode, Imlie reaches Aryan’s house and Aryan scolds her for wasting time. Imlie gives him the pen drive and says she got the interview. Next morning, Imlie reaches the office and everyone applauds for her. Aryan also comes there and praises Imlie. He demotes Aditya from his position and says to him that he needs to learn to keep the newspaper over his ego.
Imlie goes to Aditya and says to him that she will talk to Aryan and tell him that he is making a mistake. Aditya taunts her by saying that Aryan would only hear her as they are very close. Imlie says to him that she will ignore his accusations as she understands he is upset. Aditya says he isn’t and joins his hand in front of her and says she is his senior and he doesn’t want such a big favour from her. She asks him if he thinks that this all is her fault. He says it is his karma.
Malini goes to Aryan’s house. Aryan’s mother tells him when he returns home that a girl has come to meet him. He goes to the hallway and sees Malini there. She says to him that she’ll introduce herself, Aryan says he knows who she is. She says to him that she knows that he likes Imlie while she hates her. She says that their objectives are the same as they both don’t want Aditya and Imlie to end up together, so she has a proposal for him. Aryan says to her that he isn’t interested in Imlie and he won’t support her in any of her cheap schemes. He then asks her to leave his house. Malini says to herself that she doesn’t have any option left so Aryan has to unknowingly be the reason for Aditya and Imlie’s break up.
Malini returns home and Aditya stops her and says he wants to talk to her. Malini says of course they can talk. Aditya says he’ll take care of the baby and support them. Aditya says he wants to bring Imlie back home. Malini says she will always keep his comfort above everything. The family comes to the hall and discusses how to celebrate Imlie’s return to the house. The family tells Aditya to organize a party for Imlie’s return. He asks them to help him organize it.
The Tripathi family arrived at the location of the celebration. Anu calls Aryan and says to him to come to the suite as they have arranged the meeting there. Anu then calls Malini and tells her that she has done her part of the plan, Malini says to her that now she will take it forward. Malini tells the family that she saw Imlie in the hotel. Aditya says he’ll go and get her, his family says to him to not mess things up again. Aryan and Imlie get inside the suite and Malini gets the power cut so that the door gets jammed. She then tells Aditya that she saw Imlie going towards the suit. Aditya reaches the hotel room where he sees the door slightly open and enters inside. He sees Aryan putting on Imlie his coat and thinks wrong about them.
The waiter gives a letter to Aditya, who finds a divorce paper inside which Malini put there. Malini comes there and pretendes in front of Aditya that she cares and wants to sort things between him and Imlie. Aditya says to her that she should not interfere between them as he’ll talk to Imlie. Imlie come to the anniversary party and Aditya comes after her. She asks him so he is here and knows what she feels. He says it took him time and courage to be here but he has come now. He says to her he will do what she wants, and if that is breaking their relationship so be it. Aditya gives Imlie divorce papers and says to her that before she leaves him he’ll leave her as he doesn’t want to be heart broken.
Aditya goes to his room and cries. He sits on his desk and writes an article, then calls publishing and asks them to put it on next days newspaper. Next morning, Imlie reaches Tripathi house and rings the doorbell. Her eyes go towards the newspaper in which she sees Aditya’s article. Aditya opens his house door. Imlie stands outside with the newspaper and asks him what he has written in the paper about her. He says to her what she was doing in the room with Aryan was private then they should have locked the door. He says to her that now she cannot enter his house, shuts the door on her face. Imlie breaks down. Aparna comes to Aditya’s room with the newspaper. She asks him how he could write something that could destroy her reputation.
