Imlie is a love story of two people who got married forcefully by the villagers. One who is young and spontaneous and the other a Strict journalist both on different stages in their lives. It’s a gripping story with new twist and turns in the journey of them finding love in each other.
In this week’s episode we saw, Imlie reaches office. Her colleagues talk about the article written by Aditya and question Imlie’s character. Imlie doesn’t say anything and stands there. Aryan comes there and says to everyone that now he knows why his newspaper isn’t doing well. He says he’ll tell everyone a truth, he says that he loves Imlie and she loves him back. Aditya enters the office at the same time and after hearing Aryan’s statement leaves. Aryan continues his statement and says even if he and Imlie deny the rumour they’ll not believe. He says if journalist in his own office make assumptions based on some rumour then he doubts the company succeeding, he says he’ll throw such people out of his organisation.
Aditya says to Imlie that he’s sorry for ruining her life by getting married to him. She says to him that he shouldn’t be sorry as she is sorry that she came with him to Delhi and knowingly lived as a servant in his house. She says to Aditya that she is sorry that even after knowing that he spent the night with Malini, she forgave him. She says she is sorry that she let Malini live with them for the better of her and Aditya’s child without thinking of herself. She says to Malini that she is very sorry for getting so late to make her realize that she is doing wrong as she has now become the worst person. She says she is sorry for herself that she kept everyone above herself. Imlie then signs the divorce papers and gives it to Aditya.
Malini calls Anu and tells her that Aditya said to Imlie that he’ll marry her and he is unaffected by her leaving him. Anu says she wishes to see Imlie’s face at that point. Malini says to her that Imlie is acting all composed but while she is not. She says to her that she wants Imlie to suffer in pain seeing her and Aditya together like she suffered. Anu says to her to not get worried as she has a plan to achieve that as well. Anu comes to Aryan’s office. Anu returns and tells him that she is here to give an exclusive deal to his newspaper for her daughter’s wedding. Aryan calls Imlie to his office and says to her that she has to cover a high profile wedding for the newspapers page 3.
Aparna and her husband get worried about Aditya and Imlie’s relationship. They hear the doorbell, and open the door. Anu brings everything related to the wedding from Pandit to caterers and wedding planner. She says to the Thripati family that she is aware that they won’t be active and planning for the wedding so she got everything herself. Malini and Aditya arrive there. Anu calls Aditya son-in-law. He gets shocked as she speaks to him nicely and is not objecting to the marriage. She sees the look on his face, and says to him that she wasn’t in favour of this before but if Malini is happy nothing is important to her. Pankaj says to Anu that only Malini’s willingness is not important as Aditya also needs to agree. Aditya says he is ready to marry.
Imlie gets cold feet outside the Tripathi house and hides behind the bush. She receives a call from Aryan and she asks him if he is spying on her. He says it is his responsibility to make sure that she does her job, he then says to her that to go inside and face her fear. Imlie comes with a fellow reporter to Thripati house. Aditya says why is she here. Anu says she called her to cover the marriage for the newspaper. Malini says she cannot come inside as she isn’t no longer the daughter-in-law of the house. She says she will give her introduction and says that she is here as a journalist to cover the wedding.
Imlie is about to trip and fall, but Aryan saves her. She asks him what he is doing there. Aryan has a flashback of Malini calling him and saying to him to come to her wedding and supervise his team. She says she is not offering partnership to him, she is ordering him to do a task as a client or he won’t be paid. He says to her that if they don’t pay him then her mother will go to jail as under their contract clause, and it was her mother’s request to put Imlie on the job so she should talk to her. Aryan after the talk with Malini thinks to himself that he can’t let one more person suffer in hand’s of Aditya.
