‘Love in Ukraine’ Film makers to donate 20% of all revenues to the Government of Ukraine on behalf of Bollywood fraternity

The makers of the film Love in Ukraine have announced that they will donate 20% of all revenues from the film to the Government of Ukraine, or to the charity or cause chosen by the Government of Ukraine. The decision has been taken jointly by Kamal Entertainment Pvt Ltd and Neole Films.

The film, which releases theatrically on 27 May, is the last film to shoot in Ukraine before the war. It has been filmed completely in the picturesque locations of the country. The film is a love story between a Ukrainian girl and an Indian student, and shows the beauty of Ukraine, both in the present day cities, and the quaint villages which are oozing with fairy tale charm.

The film also shows traditional Ukrainian culture, for example a scene featuring an authentic Ukrainian wedding, ancient Ukrainian churches and villages, majestic castles, and also Ukrainian farms and animals including cows, sheep and horses, which play a major role in their traditional culture.

Apart from lead actor Vipin Kaushik and director Nitin Kumar Gupta, the entire cast and crew are from Ukraine. Most of them are still in the warzone. However they are enthusiastic about the film release and support the common cause to promote peace.

Talking about the decision, director Nitin Kumar Gupta says,”The people of Ukraine gave us so much love and support during filming. I am extremely happy with the decision taken by the producers. I hope to return to Ukraine to film very soon as soon as peaceful times return. In fact, we have everything planned and ready to shoot Love In Ukraine 2!”

Actor Vipin Kaushik says,”It is a very important decision. The film talks about love, humanity and sacrifice, and what better way to show the theme of the film than make it happen in real life. I hope our small effort encourages others to act in similar ways, and show the spirit of humanity and kindness towards those in need.”
