Maha Shivratri holds a huge importance in my life because Shiv is who I am surrendered to and to whom I pray to. He guides me in my life and my consciousness. He is my conscience. I, unfortunately, haven’t had that kind of time where I could do the rituals that I was supposed to follow at least from a week before Maha Shivratri but on Maha Shivratri, I will be doing the needful and would do my prayers as I do regularly. It’s going to be that one day where I try to connect with him as deeply as possible in whatever time I get and try to rejuvenate my mind, body and soul. It’s the important days of my life

Yes I celebrate it. Nowadays I visit Shiva temple and worship the shivling. Shiva means a lot to me. The story of Shiva and Parvati inspires me that true love still exists. In my childhood my mom and nani used to take me to maha shivaratri festival in Ulhasnagar. I miss all Shivratri memories of my childhood. We used to play a lot of games and take joy rides and celebrated the festival with full fun and joy.

We worship Shiva, we don’t do anything special on Shivratri though. Every Monday we go to the Shiv temple and do puja there. So if it’s Monday, it will be special and for us, 365 days it plays the same significance

Yes, celebrating Maha Shivratri is a very auspicious occasion for me as it is a celebration for a god who is a creator. He is a supreme power. Fasting for Lord Shiva gives me a lot of peace and a feeling of well being. Early morning, after my bath, I offer water, gangajal, milk, honey on the Shivling and chant ‘om namah shivay’. Lord Shiva holds a special place in my heart as I have always been influenced by his aura and that keeps me calm and balanced. I feel he has the beautiful power of the universe.

Lord Shiva is considered to be the father of the whole universe. He is the most divine among all gods. I celebrate Maha Shivratri and I am very fond of Shiv Ji as he teaches us wisdom to live life. I also fast at times. I also believe a lot in Hanuman Ji as he is part of Shiv ji.

I celebrate Lord Shiva every day, every moment. He is the one who puts life into motion. I do no rituals, no fasts as that’s my moms department. For me it’s Har Har MAHADEV everyday!!
