Mitu on World Health Day: Productive and non-judgemental discussion around health is essential

World Health Day on April 7 that is celebrated across the globe, spreads awareness around the importance of fit and happy lifestyle. Speaking on the occasion, Mitu, a content creator, says that we all should have healthy real conversations around health.

“Productive and non-judgemental discussion around health is also important. We must remember that good health is not only limited to physical fitness, but means mental well-being as well,” she says.

In our fast-paced life, erratic work schedules, one’s health goes for a toss. On how she takes care of herself, Mitu adds, “I drink lots of water and I am mindful of what I am eating. I also sleep well. Though the saying ‘Health is wealth’ is an old saying, the pandemic made us understand it better. We must remember that.”

Some of the lifestyle changes that one needs to make like eating better, joining a gym etc can be costly. Ask if he is willing to cut back on a few things so that he can make room in his budget for these important expenses, and Mitu replies, “I would readily do it, simply because health needs to be good all the time. It’s a life-long investment.”

Mitu has never tried any diets. “I had a mental block towards all sorts of diets. But after getting Covid, I had to go on a diet for health issues and it brought about a paradigm shift in my thought process,” she reveals.

Talking about the things she follows and things she avoids for health reasons, Mitu adds, “I drink at least two litres of water, work out, drink one glass of nimbu paani and also do daily yoga. What I avoid is meeting toxic people, junk food and late night munching.”
