“Most of my inspiration comes from within. I feel that through my music, I give answers to people’s questions. And music is the language of the heart, so the message is absorbed in no time. My singing style can be similar to The Weeknd and Michael Jackson because I sing in a mixed voice as well,” he said. When he was around four years old, he picked up some instruments like flute and piano. “I could play them better compared to what you would expect from a four-year-old newbie. So, the realisation (to be a music artist) was pretty early. When I completed my schooling and it was the time to decide where to go, I shortlisted all my options and realised nothing makes me happier than music,” he said.
“I had to do it to have no regrets in my life and find my purpose,” he added. There are a lot of young rappers and there’s a huge competition. “I guess competition comes into the picture when you all try to do the same thing. Music from within would be as unique as a fingerprint, on the other hand. If you are good at your art, you are going to be heard. I myself appreciate so many artists who are completely different and I never get tired listening to them,” he said. A lot of young talents are not taken seriously because of their age. “The time has changed, but there aren’t enough talent managers in India to pick on budding talents and nurture them. I hope the process speeds up in India and we might have our first big international artist. I am working on it myself,” said the 20-year-old. His first album is out. “I hope you all listen to it if you haven’t yet. I just need some time off with my family and then I will get straight to my next album 18+. It is going to be an English album, an effort to engage the international audience,” he said.
“It will be marking the beginning of the real Reyen Eyes. I am counting on the fact that it will be a magic spell turning people into Reyenizers,” he added.
