“People are loving it, people are getting hooked to the lines. It is special because rap songs are known for their rhythm and flow and not for the lyrics. It was the best feeling when some people wrote back to me saying the exact same thing about the lyrics. It has given me all the inspiration I need to start working on my next album,” he said.
He played the beat on his headphones and the first thing that popped into his mind was, “Bet bet bet, lagi hogi ye sab mere haters mein”.
“The lyrics go on to really cool expressions of real life experiences. I was then feeling low about not making it big yet, so in the song I talked about it. The song is a thorough journey of me from the past to the future when I just come in front of everyone to ask them to jump with me. Someone pulls my strings who isn’t visible, I just paint the picture,” he said.
According to him, rap would continue to be one of the major genres being listened to because anyone who can write can rap. “People follow a culture where they can have an active participation,” he explained.
He never religiously listened to rap. “I was drawn to pop-rap because of Post Malone. He is a brilliant singer who has intermixed melodious singing with hip hop and rap,” he said.
“Though I don’t idolise anyone, I love Posty! Hope to meet him someday,” he added.
Reyen Eyes also has his own fans and gets compliments from people. “People who knew me from 16 to 18 years of age are actually telling me that I have come a long way and I am on the right path. This coming from them means I am improving every day of my life, and that 1628 was triumphant,” he said.
