Sagar Parekh who is currently seen in Tera Yaar Hu Mein is one of the youthful actors around. When we asked about independence he says, ” I think Independence to me would mean freedom to people to express themselves and use that freedom to improve, learn and experience everyday living. Independence should not be used as an excuse to seize power. Independence for me is the freedom that satisfies your desire to become a stronger person. I think it’s also a sense of individuality that empowers us to speak our minds and free ourselves from ignorance. Independence would basically mean that one should live their life to the fullest. It’s to enjoy and do the best every single day of your life. I think it also means staying strong with a positive mental attitude”.
On being asked about favourite freedom fighter he says, “My favourite freedom fighter is Shaheed Bhagat Singh. In my opinion, he was a true patriot because he ensured that the British get scared of the movements that were initiated by the Indian crowds at that time. He had no fear and had immense courage to fight against the wrong. He also motivated the youth of the country to come forward and fight the operation of the British Raj. Not only his life is an inspiring tale but his death inspired more than his life did because it had a purpose and the kind of man he was, his death itself became a lesson. I think Singh as a person exists beyond mortality. He sacrificed himself at such a young age which was commendable”. Well, Sagar at such a young age you have the quality called the clarity of thought and that surely is a good thing.
