Saurabh Prajapati on judging youth dance fest: Fun watching young talent

Showbiz’s youngest dancer-choreographer Saurabh Prajapati was recently a judge at Cortokino International film festival 2022 and says that he had a blast. Talking about the experience, Saurabh says, “It’s always so much fun watching young talent. They work so hard, with lot of passion. It’s a different experience altogether. I always say this while judging them that I don’t want to go too technical because as long as they having fun while performing, that’s all that matters. They should enjoy this journey. Keeping this in mind, that they are not professionals, they are still learning and giving their all and so as a judge, it’s my job to mentor them, guide them and motivate them,” he says.

This is not Saurabh’s first time judging young talent. “I have been to so many different colleges, actually all the top colleges of Maharashtra and even other cities. It’s so much fun, there is a different kind of energy and vibe in different colleges. I recently went to IIT Guwahati, HR college, Thakur College,” he says.

Being a young choreographer-director himself, Saurabh says that it’s always fun to interact with the youth. “I feel being the youngest director and choreographer, the youth connect with me so much because they can relate to me and my journey. They feel like if I can make it then even they can too. It’s all a matter of belief and hard work. That’s the only key to success. It doesn’t matter from where you have come and what is your background. I feel that’s the reason they connect with me more,” he says.

He adds, “Being a youth of the country all I can say it’s us who can bring the change in whatever profession we are in. It’s us who should take risks and chances and keep doing experiments. I feel it’s us who should take a stand and follow our heart by putting our heart and soul to what we want to do in life.”
