At the beginning of the episode, Navratri’s celebration starts in Modi House. Mithila says so far she has been doing the inauguration of the PANDAL, but this year Gopika will do it. She asks Gopika to show the diamond crown to Ambe Ma. Uma ben comes and asks them to stop.
Mithila tells Uma that Gopika is their family’s elder daughter-in-law. Uma says the PANDAL does not only belong to the Modi family. Mithila reminds her that for the last 5 years, the Modi family has had this right. Ramila asks Meenal who that woman is. Meenal tells her that Uma’s family used to be the biggest diamond merchants of Bhuj, but their family has taken over after Saksham started handling their business.
Ba asks Uma why she has suddenly started this argument. Uma says she has been silent for many years but now that the next generation is taking over the rituals, she wants the best BAHU to get this honor. Mithila says Gopika has proven many times that she is capable and so it will be their family’s right to give crown and light the DIYA. Uma says no one becomes deserving by climbing a tree.
Uma says the Modi family has been handling the PANDAL because of their money and not because they deserve it. She says they must check who is most deserving. Meenal says this is a festival, not some competition. Mithila announces a competition that all BAHUS will have to prove their fearlessness and capability. She says she is confident that her daughter-in-law Gopika will win it. Uma says she should not mislead others that Gopika is her daughter-in-law as Saksham is Meenal’s son, not hers.
Mithila is shocked. Gopika says Saksham is Mithila’s son just as Yashoda was Krishna’s mother. She says bringing up a child is an even bigger blessing than giving birth. She says Mithila has two sons, Saksham and Chirag, so both she and Ashi are her daughters-in-law. Mithila blesses her. She says Navratri is a festival, so this competition will be to find the woman who has found the DEVI part of herself.
Uma asks Mithila who will participate in this competition. Gopika asks Ashi to participate. Ashi moves forward, but Ramila pulls her back and pushes Gopika forward. Gopika falls on Mithila’s feet and Mithila announces that she will participate.
All the women get ready for the competition. Ashi asks Ramila why she stopped her. Ramila says she wants Gopika out of this house, so this competition is the perfect opportunity to show Gopika’s reality.
Tejal announces the first event to decorate Devi Ma’s idol with sarees kept there. Everyone rushes to pick up the sarees and jewelry. Gopika struggles to go ahead. Ramila says everyone will know how panicky and fearful Gopika is and then Mithila will throw her out of the house. Gopika finally manages to get one saree but haldi falls on it and it gets stained. Ba wishes the best to Gopika.
Hiten bumps into Tejal and tells her what VJ said about using her to increase his followers. Tejal does not believe him and screams at him for interfering in her life.
Ba asks Mithila why she got instigated and announced this competition. Mithila says she never wanted this but she just wants to show that a fearless woman has to fight every day just like Devi Ma. She says she wants Gopika to be appreciated by everyone.
Gopika washes the saree to remove the stain. Ashi comes there and says they must dry the saree fast. She takes Gopika to dry the saree in the microwave. Gopika says it is for food, but Ashi confuses her that there is a setting for this. Gopika asks her to show her once, but she says she must do it herself.
Gopika puts the saree in the microwave and switches it on for 2 minutes. The microwave starts beeping and smoking. Gopika gets worried.
