At the beginning of the episode, Mithila gives many jewelry sets to Gopika but only one set to Ashi. Mithila says Gopika is the elder daughter-in-law of this house so she will get more gifts. Ashi feels upset and thinks Gopika was her servant and now she is the queen. Ba blesses them both. Gopika cannot believe it when Ba calls her beautiful. Ba tells Saksham to look happy like Chirag. Both couples touch the elder’s feet and take their blessings. Mr. Modi wishes them to take forward the family, which Saksham does not like.
Tejal wants to play games with them. Mithila says there is one more ritual before that. She says Gopika is the elder daughter-in-law, so she must do the AARTI. Gopika thank Lord Krishna for showing her the way. Tejal gives Gopika the tablet to read the Aarti from it. Ashi feels happy that Gopika will be embarrassed now. Gopika starts singing. Ashi wonders how she is reading in English.
Ramila is in Gopika’s room. Mama ji asks Ramila if she is missing Gopika. Ramila says she is thinking that they should put this room on rent for some extra money. Mama ji says that is out of the question. Ramila says they need extra money for the maid as Gopika is gone now. Ashi calls Ramila and tells that Mithila is giving her second-class citizen treatment. She says she is very tired and hungry. Ramila asks why she hasn’t eaten yet. Ashi says she is upset because Gopika is getting all the footage. Ramila says it is just a matter of a couple of days and till then she must show excitement to do everything. She tells her to eat whatever she wants as it is her own house.
Mithila praises Gopika for singing so beautifully, even the part that was not on the iPad. Gopika says she knows this BHAJAN very well. Mithila asks where Ashi is. Gopika says Ashi must be hungry. Mithila says she should have told before going. Ashi goes to the kitchen to look for something to eat, but cannot find anything. She finds milk in the fridge. She cannot find the glasses so decides to drink directly from the pan. Tejal comes and says this milk was for the ritual. Everyone sees her. Mithila closes the fridge and looks at the empty container. She says this is not appropriate behavior for a new bride. Ashi says she was hungry. Mithila says she should have told them to arrange something, but she should not have come stealthily during the AARTI. Meenal tells Mithila to leave it as was a tough day for Ashi. Mithila says it was a tough day for everyone and even Ba hasn’t eaten anything. Mithila asks Ashi how will they do the ritual now. Saksham says they should postpone the rituals. Mithila says this is not some business meeting that can be postponed.
Ashi says there is nothing bigger than Mithila’s happiness, so she will go to get milk herself in the car. Chirag tells her not to worry as it is too late and shops must be closed now. Mithila tells Ashi that she can get milk from Nandini. Ashi asks where Nandini is. Mithila takes them and shows that Nandini is their cow. She gives a bucket to Ashi and asks her to get milk. Meenal asks Mithila to let it go and how she will she do it. Mithila says she will not force Ashi. Ashi says she will go. Mithila asks to get one more bucket. She gives it to Gopika and says Gopika will certainly get milk. She makes it a competition to who can bring milk first. Ba tells that they are new-age girls and cannot do all this. Mithila says she just wants to test their will to face a hard challenge. They all go inside to prepare for the ritual. Ashi and Gopika go in the shed.
