At the beginning of the episode, Ashi and Gopika enter their room and are all happy to see how big it is. Gopika thinks she made the room dirty and cleans with her DUPATTA. Both of them observe the decorations and are impressed by the stuff inside.
Mithila brings tea for Mr. Modi. She sees Saksham sitting and working in the hall. She tells him that he feels angry when she puts tea on his father and lives in another room. She says she is sure that Saksham will never give the same pain to his own wife. She says many mothers in law want less educated and timid daughter in law, but she chose an educated and able girl for him. She says Gopika will walk in every step with him. She asks Saksham to give Gopika a chance.
Gopika looks at all the awards in the room and thinks Saksham is so talented and she must become deserving of him. Saksham agrees to Mithila and goes to his room. Chirag comes to his room where Ashi is waiting. He says it must all be so strange for her. Ashi says she does not have any problem as everyone is nice. Chirag says it is because she is nice. He says he does not want her to feel pressured and tells her to take time. He says he will sleep on the sofa. Saksham comes to his room. Gopika is waiting for him. Saksham takes a pillow and gives it to Gopika. He tells her to sleep on the couch as he will work on the bed till late at night.
Mithila is preparing for the puja in the morning when she hears someone walk. She sees that Gopika is going somewhere. Gopika puts a bucketful of hot water in front Ashi’s room. Mithila asks why she is doing that if the geyser not working. She realizes there must be no geysers in the CHAWL where Gopika lived. She tells Gopika not to worry about it. Gopika says she used to heat water for everyone in her house.
Mithila takes Gopika to the temple. She asks Gopika to light the DIYA. Gopika is happy to do that. Mithila says their ways might be different but their thoughts must be the same. She tells Gopika to do everything with love. They hear a loud noise. Everyone gets up.
Mithila and Gopika go to check. Meenal also comes. They go to Ashi’s room to see her sleeping while the alarm is ringing loudly and Ashi is still sleeping. Gopika tries to wake Ashi up. Ashi snaps at her and tells her to turn off the alarm. Mithila scolds Ashi for sleeping till so late and misbehaving with Gopika. Meenal defends Ashi that she must be tired. Mithila says even Gopika got married the previous day but she got up early morning. Chirag comes from the bathroom and says sorry for the alarm. Mithila says the alarm was not for him or Gopika. She tells Ashi to come down.
Mithila gives a new diamond set to Gopika along with other sets. Meenal gives Ashi a set too. Ashi sees that her set is small. Mithila says it is MUH-DIKHAI today, so they must get ready properly. Mithila says the times have changed now and tells Gopika to introduce themselves to everyone as they are modern women. Mithila gives a paper to Gopika which has the speech for the evening. She says she has written in Gujarati but Gopika must speak in English. Gopika gets worried.
