This week, we are introduced to a simple but talented young girl, Gopika. Gopika lives with her Mama Mami and is treated badly by her Mami Ramila. Her Mama is kind to her and wants her to be happy but cannot say anything in front of his wife. Ramila’s daughter Ashi lives and works in Mumbai and is trying to get married to his boss Saksham Modi. Saksham has committed to marry Ashi because she agreed to his condition that they will never have kids. Gopika’s mama encourages her to participate in a jewellery design competition organised by Modis. Gopika completes the jewellery designs for Kanha ji. She forgets all about the tea which Ramila asked her to make. Ramila screams at her for burning tea and wasting gas. Ramila makes a chulha with bricks and puts all of Gopika’s designs in chulha and asks Gopika to burn them and make tea. Gopika lights a match and burns the design she has just completed for competition.
Saksham drops Ashi home and invites them to come for his welcome party. Gopika is washing clothes. She comes out to meet Ashi but Ashi puts luggage on her head and sends her back. Mithila Modi and rest of the Modi family is introduced, which includes Saksham’s birth mother, his siblings Chirag and Tejal and his father and grandmother.
Ramila asks Gopika to make designs for Modi’s competition. Gopika avoids sketching that because Ramila burnt all her designs. Ramila says she wants to see her at top, so she should make a nice design. Ramila and Ashi avoid taking Gopika with them but she sits ion the taxi. Ramila tricks her into getting out at the temple and goes in the taxi.
Gopika prays to Lord Krishna at the temple. Mithila comes to the temple to pray to Lord Krishna for Saksham’s welfare and marriage. Ramila and Ashi are overwhelmed to see Modi’s huge house. Chirag recognises Ashi and takes them along. Chirag is impressed by the design. Ramila says Ashi made that design for the competition. Gopika finds Mithila’s “mouli” lying on ground and runs behind her to give it back but she goes away. Gopika takes an auto behind her car and enters Modi house to find Mithila. Saksham and his father have an argument and Sakshma tells that he will not have kids because of his attitude. He says he has already met a girl who has agreed to his condition. Mithila listens to their conversation and wonder who this girl is. She says she wants a wife for Saksham who will lead him the right way. Saksham chooses the winner of jewellery design competition. Saksham likes Gopika’s designs and announces it to be the winner. He asks the designer to come up on stage. Ramila says it is her daughter. Gopika also comes forward. Ramila sees Gopika and makes her trip to fall. Ashi and Ramila go up on stage. Gopika is shocked to see Ashi taking credit for her designs. . Saksham says his mother Mithila Modi will give the award and calls her on stage. Ramila and Ashi are shocked to see Mithila as they misbehaved with her earlier.
Mithila gives award to Ashi but makes it clear that she will choose Sakshams’ wife. She questions Ashi. Ashi gets intimidated and says she will do whatever she wants. Mithila asks Saksham if this is an empowered woman, who changes her mind every moment just to get married to him. Saksham gets frustrated and goes outside where he meets Gopika. He thinks she has also come in hope of marrying him, but she tells that she came just return the “mouli”. Saksham apologises to her and tells her to meet Mithila herself. Gopika comes inside and looks for Mithila. Ramila cuts the power. Ramila and Ashi run away and make a candle fall while running. The venue catches fire.
Mithila and Gopika get stuck in the fire. Gopika tries to save her. They both manage to escape together while Mithila takes her by hand. Ramila comes there and takes Gopika away in the dark. Saksham says sorry to Mithila for not being there with her in the time of trouble. Mithila says she has found a girl who is right for him as well as this family. Ramila scolds Gopika for leaving her shoe there as it costs money. Gopika says she made this shoe herself out of waste material. Ramila says she will stay barefoot the next day as punishment. Ashi open facebook and they see Mithila announcing that the owner of this shoe will be the daughter-in-law of their family. She says she has not seen the girls’ face. They are shocked to see that it is Gopika’s shoe. Ashi says she sent Gopika to Modi house. Ramila says she will never allow this. Ramila runs to stop Gopika, but Jiten takes Gopika on scooter. A local goon Jignesh bhai takes a liking to Gopika. Ramila fixes Gopika’s marriage with him.
