Yagya Bhasin has learnt how to balance his studies and acting career

Yagya Bhasin, who will soon be seen in the movie “Bal Naren” and was last seen in TV show Ye Hai Chahatein has been managing his studies and acting career quite well. The 13-year-old child actor shares how he makes sure there is a balance and nothing gets neglected for the other. His family, according to Yagya, is his best support system.

“I’m in 8th grade now. My school is very supportive and teachers send me notes through WhatsApp so that I don’t miss out on anything.  When I’m free, I study those notes. My father, who was also a teacher before he became a high court officer, also helps me a lot. That’s how I manage my school and my acting career,” he says.

But it does get difficult to manage both sometimes. “Yes it does. Sometimes it’s very hard to concentrate on both my education and my work.  Acting takes up most of my time, so it’s not always easy to manage both the things. In 8th grade, the syllabus is vast and my teachers give us so much homework. It gets really difficult at times, but I keep myself motivated,” he adds. He has started going to school recently from 14th June after 2 years and is in class 8th.

So what do you do to stay focussed and keep your spirits high? “I meditate a lot and do yoga, especially some physical exercises because it really boosts my positivity. I also offer water to the God Sun every morning and it is called “Surya Arghya”. Being a spiritual person I read Hanuman Chalisa and also do puja. I also listen to a lot of motivational stories and motivational podcasts. My room is full of photos of motivational quotes. It really keeps my spirits high and that’s how I stay focused and motivated all the time,” he says.

Over the last few years, Yagya has become a household name for his performances on screen. Much like his family, his classmates too are happy for him. My friends want to treat me like a celebrity but I tell them not to, because in school I’m just a student and nothing more than that,” he adds. I is believed that child actors get good opportunities when they grow up. However, things have been different and difficult too for many. “As my father  Deepak Bhasin says, the film industry is unpredictable. You can’t really say for sure that if you work as a child in the industry then you will surely get good opportunities in the future. You might get good opportunities or you might not, so there’s no guarantee of it,” he shares.

Yagya looks forward to a better future. His learning now will help him do well in coming times is what he believes in. “I’m already used to facing the camera. It won’t be that difficult to face the camera in future when I grow up. It will be a lot easier for me to control or express my emotions because I am already learning how to do it. With time and experience I hope to do better,” he says. On being asked why hee  hasnt taken a daily soap he says, “I am open to working on tV provided the character is primary”
