Star Plus’s longest and most popular running show Yeh Rishta Kya Khelata Hai has managed to keep the viewers hooked to the story over the years and currently entertaining the viewers with Kartik and Sirat’s storyline.
In last week’s episode we saw that, At goenka house they are watching the news and questioning why people are linking Kartik to all of this. Kartik comes home. Manish says it’s nice that he’s home he should see what the news channels are saying about him in Sirat. Then he sees Sirat coming behind Kartik into the house, he asks her to stop from entering the house. Manish says that he understands Sirat is in need but she can’t stay here at goenka house as it will only stir up more controversy. Kartik asks Manish that if for a baseless news report they can let Sirat into the house. Manish tells Sirat that she can’t stay at goenka house. But he’ll arrange some place for her to stay at. Kartik says she is going nowhere as she has nobody else to look after them other than them. Maudi says she will also leave with Sirat. Sirat asks her to pack her stuff as she is waiting for her and then they will go to the old house.When they are leaving the goenka house a police van comes there. Inspector gets out of the car and tell secret that she is under arrest for the murder of her husband.
Kartik tries to free Sirat from the police but he fails. The inspector drags Sirat by her hand outside of the house where the media is waiting for Sirat. The media question Sirat’s character and her relation with Kartik. Kartik wants to go and stop them but Manish holds him with the help of Akhilesh. Kartik asks Manish to let him go and help Sirat. Manish tells him that there are too many media person out there and he would only invite more problems for the family. Kartik gets out of their hold and when runs towards Sirat she signals him not to come near her. Kartik stops. Manish and the other family members sit down with a lawyer looking for solutions to save Kartik from the mess. The lawyer suggests that Kartik make a media appearance and says that he is not connected to Sirat in any way and save his image. Suhasini then tells Kartik that he needs to make a media appearance. Kartik tells Suhasini that he cannot rants Sirat as she was the one who supported his family when kairav needed her.
Kartik tells Suhasini that if he does what they are asking won’t prove his innocence. But it will prove that he is a coward. Suhasini asks him that if he is going against the family. Kartik tells her that supporting his friend doesn’t mean he’ll be against his family. He tells her that he’ll do what’s best for his family and Sirat. When he waits for Sirat in the waiting room in the police station he notices the reporters again and hides behind the cupboard. When Kartik returns from the police station he gets a call from Aradhana. She introduces herself to Kartik. Kartik tells her that she is the one who’s spreading fake stories about Sirat. Aradhana asks Kartik to make an appearance on her show as it would benefit him and her. She tells Kartik that he would be able to clear his image and she would get her story. Kartik informs her that he would never make an appearance on her channel. Then Kartik notices Kairav on a phone call where his seniors are ragging him with questions about Sirat and Kartik relationship. He gets worried as kids are suffering.
Narendranath gives Aradhana Ranveer’s phone. He tells her that there is a recording in Sirat’s voice where she confesses her feelings for Kartik. Kartik comes there and tells him that he’s going to give a interview which will be live. Kartik notices Ranveer’s phone with Aradhana. He drinks water and then drops the glass on the table which destroys the phone. The interview starts. Aradhana asks Kartik who’s friend he is, Ranveer or Sirat. He says he was friends with both but he knew Sirat before Ranveer. Kartik tells that Kairav used to think that Sirat was her mother as her face looks like Naira. Aradhana asks Kartik if he falled for her thinking she is his wife.Kartik then says that if they want to know about Ranveer and Sirat’s relationship, they were friends since they were kids and loved each other. Aradhana then asks when did Sirat start poisoning Ranveer before marriage or after. Kartik asks Aradhana how is she so sure that Sirat poisoned Ranveer, was she present there. He tells her that she should have first spoken to Ranveer’s doctor as he died of lead poisoning. Aradhana asks Kartik was he present in Sirat’s room when Ranveer died. Kartik accepts that he was present in their room.
Maudi says to Kartik that she wants to meet Sirat before she dies. Kartik tells her not to say that. Maudi says if that happens promise that he’ll take care of Sirat. Kartik distracts her by showing Sirat’s dancing video. They both laugh, and joke about Sirat’s dancing. Maudi become short of breath and dies. Sirat miss Maudi in the jail and draws a portrait of her. The inspector comes to call Sirat in the visitors room. Sirat asks Kartik where Maudi is has she not come with him, she asks Kartik if Maudi is missing her. Kartik turns to her and she sees tears in her eyes. Sirat gets scared and ask if Maudi is fine. Kartik tells her he has come to take her to meet Maudi for one last time. Sirat faints on Kartik. Kartik brings Sirat in the police Jeep to goenka house. The media surrounds the Jeep and asks questions regarding how she feels about deaths in her family. Sirat sits beside Maudi’s body and remembers her and then faints. Next day Suvarna asks Kartik where they should flow the ashes, and if he know something from Sirat. Suhasini says she doesn’t think that Sirat would have remembered anything as her condition is very worse right now.
Manish says that he thinks that they should leave the country and go for some time as the media is not going to let them live peacefully. Kartik says that they have supported him up until now so now they can’t just give up on him then need to give him a chance to help Sirat. Sirat’s health worsens in the jail. Kartik goes to meet another lawyer with Manish. Kartik asks the lawyer to get Sirat out of the jail within 24 hours. Manish tells Kartik that he agreed to support Kartik when we asked for but if he fails in these 24 hours then he is going to leave the country with the family. Narendranath calls Kartik and tells him that he promised to make Sirat’s life hell. He tells Kartik that Sirat is being shifted to the Central jail and if he can try to stop her go ahead. Narendranath threatens Sirat’s life. Kartik leaves everyone and goes to the car and drives. Kartik calls somebody from the NGO, and then he arrives at the magistrate’s office. Manish agrees to give Kartik last chance till 5pm. Kartik speaks to the lawyer on call and asks her to meet the magistrate as if Sirat gets transferred to the Central jail it will become impossible for them to protect Sirat. The inspector puts Sirat in the Jeep.
