Star Plus’s longest and most popular running show Yeh Rishta Kya Khelata Hai has managed to keep the viewers hooked to the story over the years and currently entertaining the viewers with Kartik and Sirat’s storyline.
In last week’s episode we saw, Kartik tells Sirat that he has one more reason to come to see her. Kartik reaches into his pocket and pulls out a keychain in which Sirat’s pictures are placed from inside of the boxing ring. Kartik tells Sirat that he expected to see her picture on some news channel or newspaper winning matches but she has completely changed and is now selling flowers which he never expected of her. Sirat tells Kartik that she has left the past behind and she asks Kartik for whom she should fight. Kartik takes permission from the couple to stay at their place. Kartik asks Sirat to stop being stubborn and return with him and fulfill her dream of becoming a boxing legend. Sirat says she is not returning back to her past life as she has troubled a lot of people in that.
Kartik asks Sirat to return to Udaipur and face the people there and not just come there for the hearing. If she really worries for his family then she should help him get rid of the shame that the court got from the media as Sirat name has been connected to her family. Kartik gave Sirat 18 hours before he leaves to tell her decision to him. Vishva comes to the flower shop and asks Sirat if she has taken back the case. Vishva tells uncle and aunty, Sirat’s truth. He tells them that Simran is Sirat and she is a murderer. Uncle and aunty ask if that’s true, Kartik says that it is true that Simran is Sirat and he is Kartik but nothing else is true. They have been falsely accused. Sirat tells Kartik that she would continue boxing. Kartik says that he is happy that she took the decision. Kartik says when the time will be right, she should come with him right now. But when he fails to convince her, he says that maybe this is the last time they are meeting each other. Both of them get emotional.
Kartik is leaving for Udaipur and Sirat is crying. Sirat takes her cycle and follows Kartik. Sirat stops her cycle in front of his car. At goenka house everyone prepares for teej and for showcase of the jewellery at the same time. Next morning the cab arrives at goenka house Kartik and Sirat get down. Sirat contemplates going inside and tells Kartik that Manish wouldn’t like her being here. Manish asks Kartik to come inside and asks him to send her away. Manish takes Sirat’s hand to drag her outside.Kartik announces that Sirat is his wife now and he cannot throw her out of the house. Manish leaves Sirat’s hand and stands shocked.
Sirat apologies to Kartik because of whom he had to lie to his family. Kartik tells Sirat to treat their marriage like a contract like they were going to before. Kairav comes to Kartik’s room and tells him that Suhasini told him that he got married to Sirat. Kairav asks if it is true. Kartik nods and is worried of Kairav’s reaction. Kairav hugs Sirat and thanks Kartik. Kairav says that finally he has his family. Sirat then settles on the couch and Kartik offers a blanket. Kairav knocks at the door, then tells them that he is going to sleep in their room. He jumps on the bed and tells Kartik and Sirat that they are going to sleep on his either side like one family.
Kartik tells Sirat to focus on the fight they are having with the outer world. Kairav asks Suhasini if she knows that Sirat is performing teej. Manish and Kartik taunt each other. Suhasini says she is the eldest member of the family and she will decide what will happen in this house. Sirat in the room tells herself that she shouldn’t have come with Kartik.Kairav brings a box and calls Sirat’s name. Suhasini comes to the room and says that she brought the things that Kairav doesn’t have knowledge about. Suhasini tells Sirat that she has to perform the rituals as Kartik’s wife. Sirat agrees to perform the ritual. Everyone waits for Sirat to come down. When Sirat comes, Manish says he won’t be part of the rituals if Sirat is present with them. Sirat tries to walk away but Suhasini stops her. Suhasini says if anyone doesn’t perform teej together, she’ll go to Ashram and won’t return. After Suhasini’s threat, everyone performs the rituals together. Sirat prays to God that she is performing teej for the whole family. Kartik apologizes to God if he offended him today. Kartik helps Sirat fix her maangtikka as she didn’t apply sindoor.
The media has gathered outside the house. The media screams to send Kartik and Sirat outside. Sirat is not able to breathe so she goes outside from the back door. One of the media person sees her and runs towards her. She is surrounded by the media. The media questions Sirat’s character and Kartik’s character and questions the Goenka family’s intentions. Sirat gets angry of their absurd questions and asks them to shut up. Sirat gives answers to all of the questions and tells them that Kartik is innocent and the Goenka family helped her into the family cause of humanity. She further says that if that’s crime then call them criminals. She tells them that she wasn’t able to attend two hearings because of a personal problem so they declared her to be a criminal. She then challenges the media that she will prove herself and Kartik innocent and if she fails she will ask for punishment.
