Tujhse Hai Raabta star Ayush Anand is on a roll. The actor will now be seen playing a pivotal part in Banni Chow Home Delivery. Ulka Gupta, Puja Singh and Pravisht Mishra are also a part of this new fiction.
“Can’t reveal much, however it is a role which has many shades and I like doing such characters as they are more challenging. My look in it is completely different and it’s a homecoming for me as this is my second collaboration with Shashi Sumeet productions,” he says.
The show marks Ayush’s return to fiction after 18 months. “When I was not facing the camera I tried working on my skill, took rest and relaxed. I read books, ate, slept, listened to good music, connected with my close ones over the phone and also met them, basically worked on my mental and physical health,” he adds.
Not much of a believer of the saying that out of sight means out of mind, Ayush enjoys working at his pace. “I can’t take anything and everything that comes my way and say yes to roles that challenge me as an actor. Took a break from TV because I wanted to produce a short film and I did that. Also, I wanted to do a web series and I did that as well. Now when I got this challenging part on TV, I took it up. I didn’t want a long break from television,” he says.
A Lot of people compete for the same role. On how he handles the competition, the actor begins by saying that he just competes with himself. “I put my best foot forward and leave everything to the universe as I have immense belief that it will bring the best to and for me. I can bother about myself not others,” he says.
Talking about the kind of TV content he finds progressive or regressive, the actor explains, “It depends on the content. I believe shows on national television have mostly been progressive that’s why they have done well as they have connected with the masses. Wide variety of content is being made these days. Thanks to OTT content, be it content on TV or in films, things have become more realistic. OTT has its own audiences, and TV also has a loyal fan base. TV is like daal chawal,” he adds.
Apart from keeping occupied with work, Ayush also is particular about his me-time and family time. He also shares that his family and friends have become used to his work culture now.
