Primary Data Research Reveals Actual Desi Gamer Preferences
A recently published primary data research paper by leading Indian casino comparison platform SevenJackpots has revealed what kinds of games real money casino gamers in the country actually prefer to play.
The SevenJackpots research is based on proprietary aggregate data on user acquisition and gaming turnovers provided by one of the major live casino online operators in the country, Casino Days.
Probably a surprise to many, the leading casino gaming category attracting the largest user counts and turnovers is neither any of the classic casino games like roulette and blackjack, nor any of the traditional Indian games such as Andar Bahar and Teen Patti.
Contrary to uninformed expectations, it is live game shows that boast the greatest casino operator revenues and biggest fan interest.
Game shows are responsible for a whopping 34.48% of casino turnovers, or more than a third of all registered revenues for the operator within the observed period between January 1 and October 31, 2022.
Roulette and blackjack games are positioned second and third in terms of turnover generation, with shares of 22.91% and 16.11% percent respectively.
Baccarat (7.45%) and slots (4.59%) complete the Top 5, followed by Chinese-origin Sic Bo (3.06%) and the first Indian game that appears in the chart – Andar Bahar (2.97%).
Poker derivatives like Hold’em (2.69%), Triple Card (0.69%), and Stud (0.14%), as well as some more Indian and Asian games – Dragon Tiger (2.27%), Teen Patti (1.67%), and Fan Tan (0.34%) take lower positions in the chart of Top game categories by turnover provided by SevenJackpots.

Monopoly Live, one more creation of the Evolution studio, is based on the iconic table game that gave the show its name. Fan love for this game is evidenced by the 15.92% user count and 2.34% share of the turnovers.
Looking at the individual most popular game chart, we see that despite their surging popularity, game shows have failed to claim the top spot which is taken by a roulette game with pretty impressive stats – a 33.61% user share and a 13.94% share of the operator turnovers.
This is only at a first glance, though, because Lightning Roulette, although undoubtedly a roulette game with the wheel, the green betting layout, and all the bet options of classic European roulette, is in fact a game show.
