Prateik Chaudhary remembers Madhavi Gogate: Still can’t believe she’s no more… I remember her telling me about her love for music, singing

Popular Marathi actor Madhavi Gogate breathed her last on November 21. She was 58 years old and wasn’t keeping well. The actor reportedly tested positive for Covid and was undergoing treatment. She was a well-known face on Hindi television and has done shows such as Aisa Kabhi Socha Na Tha, Sindoor Ki Keemat, and Anupamaa. Her death has saddened the entire industry. Prateik Chaudhary sounds sad talking about his Sindoor Ki Keemat co-star and shares about his experience of working with her.

“Madhavi Ji played the role of my grandmother in the show. She was a wonderful human being. I shared a good rapport with him. In fact, our grandmother and grandson relationship felt real both on and off-screen. We would talk after pack-up, and her stories were so fascinating. I remember her telling me about her love for music and interest in singing. I have learned so much for me, still can’t believe that I won’t be able to see her again,” he says.

Prateik recalls how about 20 days back she wasn’t keeping well healthwise and took a break from shooting for a few days.

“I don’t know the exact reason for her illness. Later when she started working again, she was still not well, the reason why actor Kiran Bhargava was brought in her place. When she left the show, we were sad but thought she will be back soon once she recovers. No one was expecting her to leave us suddenly. It’s difficult to believe because just a few days back I was still shooting with her,” adds the actor.
