Listen to your body: Vaishalee Thakkar

Actress Vaishalee Thakkar feels that there is enough information around as far as health awareness is concerned and stressed that people should understand their body and make it a priority.
Speaking on the occasion of World Health Day, which is observed on April 7, she said, “I feel that there is already a lot of information and awareness about health on various portals and platforms. Everyone is trying to pass on their views and experiences with the best intention. My advice on creating awareness for health is just to listen to your body.”
She also emphasised that health doesn’t just mean physical health but mental and emotional health too, and added, “First comes emotional health if that’s alright the physical health is automatically in the best of shape.”
The “Uttaran” actress also confessed that the pandemic made us realize the importance of health. “It was an eyeopener. The pandemic gave us time to concentrate and focus on us and our health,” she said.
Vaishalee asserted that her work includes uncertain timings and she takes care of her physical health by sticking to home-cooked food. She said, “I don’t get much time to exercise when at work but eating home-made food on-time helps me the most.”
She also confessed that she doesn’t believe in an expensive gym membership or going on diets, as a healthy lifestyle is all about “determination”. She added, “You follow a healthy routine and you get a healthy life, absolutely free of cost. What you have to cut down is your laziness, that’s it.”
Asked her about two things that she follows and two that she avoids for health reasons, Vaishalee said, “I listen to my body and don’t disturb my food timings. And I avoid oily food and late dinners.”
