Tera Mera Saath Rahe Written Update
Gopika is a young and talented jewelry designer and is a devotee of Lord Krishna. Gopika has lost her parents and lives with her Mama, Mami. She is treated badly by her Mami Ramila. Her Mama is kind to her and wants her to be happy but cannot say anything in front of his wife. He encourages her to keep designing and explore her talent but Ramila and her daughter Ashi are unkind to her and treat her like a maid.
Ashi lives and works in Mumbai and is trying to get married to his boss Saksham Modi, who is the heir of the famous Modi family from Ahemdabad who has a jewelry business. Saksham has committed to marrying Ashi because she agreed to his condition that they will never have kids.
In Modi family, Mithila is not Saksham’s birth mother but she has raised him as her own son. She got her younger sister married to her husband so their family could have the heir. She is a strict authoritarian and the whole household is controlled by her. She wants to get a wife for Saksham who will not just follow him but lead him in the right direction when needed. Saksham does not share a good relationship with his father. Saksham is disillusioned by marriage because of his father’s treatment of Mithila and wants to get married to a girl who will agree to not having kids.
Other members of the family include Saksham’s birth mother, his siblings Tejal and Chirag and his grandmother.
Ramila wants her daughter Ashi to get married to Saksham but Mithila wants him to get married to someone who is honest and empowered and will not be scared to lead him in the right direction when needed. She rejects Ashi on meeting her.
By chance she is saved from fire by Gopika, but does not see her face. She decides that that girl will be the right wife for her son and declares that she wants to find the owner of the shoe which Gopika left at Modi house. Ramila fixes Gopika’s marriage with a local goon called Jignesh Bhai.
